This works just as good if not better than the other brands like, HTH and Clorox. I previously bought Clorox brand and it took 3 days for pool to clear, an it wasn't all that clear. But with this I added that night and next morning it was crystal clear. It's cheaper too. I will be buying this from now on.
This shock works just as well as any of the other more expensive shocks. I use one to two packs weekly in my above ground pool to keep my pool clear and clean and it works perfectly. Ive bought more expensive ones in the past but was spending so much money every summer trying to keep my pool clean. I decided to buy these and havent went back since. I can put two packs in a cloudy pool and it will be clear the next day.
We are getting our swimming pool ready for summer. We need pool shock to help getting the correct chlorine levels. The Pool Essentials Pool shock is exactly what we needed.
It works fast and better than the shock you buy at the pool stores. Makes the water blue also! This is my second order and will only buy this. It's complete
Please make sure that you have your pool vacuumed and the sides are brushed well first and then vacuum and after you are sure it's vacuumed out well add as directed into the deep end and by the water ports and skimmer, preferably just before sunset, and you'll be shocked.
Didnt work as well as the shock plus I normally purchase at Lowes. The shock plus leaves our pool water crystal blue and this left it somewhat hazy. Due to the pandemic I have purchased just about everything online but I will probably go back to my other shock it when these 12 treatments are gone. Walmart has great prices and super fast shipping!
This seems to work in my pool but I almost always end up having to add an extra bag a few hours after the first one. Its cheaper than other brands and I think it works about as well. You definitely need to shock your pool weekly so I would recommend this brand. I just wish it lasted longer and it would be nice to buy in bulk since you end up using so many over the course of the summer.
I bought this item online, it took 3bags of shock to get the green algae color out of the water, But still was cloudy, so I went back to purchase the liquid chlorine, it took 2 bottles of that, an still never crystal clear, alltogether we spend over $24 every 2 2weeks somethimes sooner just to keep the water decent, Now the Clorox brand of shock that actually says ultra blue! Really does make the water blue! That shock only took 1 bag an 1 bottle of liquid chlorine! To clear my water it has never been so blue an clear, so ppl it does pay to buy better chemicals for the pool!! Just a heads up so u don't waste as much money as I have this summer.
It says "fast dissolving" but it takes hours! It damaged my pool even though I followed the directions.
What happened to this product??? It doesn't dissolve anymore and just lays on bottom of pool bleaching out your liner!!!
