The filling was too wet or the bottom crust is too thin, the filling soaked through making the poprart way too soft. Its too soft in the middle to even pick it up in one piece to eat. There is no way it could be toasted. the outer edges were so dry they were crumbly. They should use the same dough as regular poptarts so the edges dont crumble and it can be toasted.
I gave them a rating of two something because it's a Pop-Tarts product. Pop-Tarts are usually spot on. These need to go away.. First we'll talk about the texture. because of the attempt to overstuff them they are very mushy and easily break apart when you try to take them out of the pack. If you try to put them in an upright toaster you're going to have a mess. Once they heat up they get extremely soft and have no structure to them. if you choose to buy them. You best lay flat in a toaster oven. Second we will talk about the flavor. They taste like a cheap caramel. Sickeningly sweet and you do not taste the cinnamon. The cinnamon and brown sugar Pop-Tarts are pretty much my favorite. I had hoped these would be similar. The first thing I thought when I tasted these was they screwed up on the back of brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts and tried to pass this off as a means to keep from having a discard the whole batch. They should have thrown it away and not done this. And third and I guess last, Pop-Tarts have always come two to a pack. These are packaged individually. Just one per pack. A box of them costs pretty much the the same as regular packaged ones. I quite often rely on Pop tarts and a cup of coffee to be my breakfast. Due the single packaging of these, they pretty much make my breakfast cost twice as much. The long and short of it, the overstuffed caramel and cinnamon version of Pop-Tarts is a fail and I would not buy them again.
These pop tarts are smaller than the original and they fall apart very easily. I don't see 50 percent more filling. The sweet caramel taste is good but that's the only reason I gave 2 stars. The price is ridiculous. almost $3 for 5 little pop tarts. I couldn't wait to try them, but now, I could've saved my $3 and bought the big pack of the Great Value brown sugar and cinnamon toaster pastries. They are way better in value.
The stuffed Pop tarts cinnamon caramel flavor is okay but they crumble wen you open the package. My first one broke while opening the wrapper and after being super gentle opening the second I now have to dig pieces out of my toaster. I opened the second box and it's the same thing. They break easily and I wouldn't recommend putting them in your toaster, it's a gooey mess, and I'm debating throwing it away instead of cleaning the filling out of it. I've never had this issue with regular pop tarts.
I'm a big pop tarts person, so i was super excited when i saw these and after the first bite...I'll never buy them again. I love both cinnamon and caramel but these just taste strange and it's not good. I'll probably feed them to the dog. there isn't much more filling than the normal ones and there's only 5 in a box. i usually buy the great value toaster pastries and I'll go back to them. they're a better value and taste great. at least I tried but i can't recommend
Very disappointed, I'm a long time lover of the original pop-tarts, but this Cinnamon Carmel one totally missed the target. The Carmel does not taste good and with it on the inside weaken the structure of the tart causing it to fall apart. Hppe the chocolate ones don't have liquidity chocolate inside or it will be a double dud.
the filling is very runny untoasted so I can't imagine what its going to do to your toaster - these are single/individual packed (not 2 in a pack) so you get 5 not 5 pks of 2 so your paying full price for half the product- taste is sooooo over the top sweet normally that would be a good thing but not in this case
BIG FAIL WITH THIS JUNK! Sickeningly sweet with billboard/super glue frosting -- ONE POPTART PER BAG instead of 2 -- TOTAL FLOP -- tried one and threw the rest in the garbage! I bet the rats at the dump will be diabetics -- IF they will even eat it!
I say read the fine print . You only get 5 pop tars that's it . Not 5 packs of 2 that everyone is used to , And how is 50% more filling supposed to make up for 50% less product . you loose the second pastry and the one you get is not any bigger just the more filling . I will not be buying these anymore. Having 2 pop tars to a pack is a standard . LoL
Super stuffed? What a joke. Same amount of filling as other pop tarts. Only one per bag. Yes it says on the box 5 count but usually there's two per bag so you get 8 total. What a rip off. Taste is fine, but definitely nothing special.
