i like that this is easy to manage as a beginner with weights. it is easy to grip and prevents slipping when my hands start to sweat during my workout.

Just need to realize it is a single weight and not a pair.

I've been using 1 pound weights and needed to increase to 3 pounds. I like the smaller width of these - easier for me to hold. I don't do as many reps as with the 1 pond ones, but, I'm getting there

If you're going to purchase this, do so in store. They do not care about keeping items protected during transit. I got a refund and got some cheap ones at 5 below that were in better condition. Good dumbbells if you buy at Walmart, don't do shipping. They let the box just roll all over the place and it was poorly packaged, no protection. The box came torn to shreds with black stuff all over it and the shell was missing pieces from being tossed around.
