These are, as they say, thick. They don't do well on a hot grill or indoor grill, which defaults to high heat. They will seize right up and be hard to cut, especially if you cook them "well done." First brine them for 30 minutes and then cook on low and slow. For grilled pork chops, buy thin ones. If you can stomach pork done with some pink, these will at least be juicy.
Pork Center Cut Loin Chops, Thick, Boneless, 2 count, 0.87 - 1.17 lb Tray This was my first time purchasing these pork chops. I am very pleased to say that they were delishous. They were very tender, I cooked them in my slow cooker, they were great with spinach or kale. I am sure they would make great sandwiches as well.
I've bought these lots of times, and while the picture shows 4 chops, it never has that many in it. Usually 2. I just don't want people to get the impression that they're getting 4 chops in their order and then they only get two. It has nothing to do with the value, because I think they're a decent deal, but it's just the quantity that can be tricky when you're not shopping for yourself.
the picture shows 4 chops eith average packs having aprox 2 lbs and i received 2 small chops. it was a pickup order so i didn't see till i got home. i live very far away, so not convenient to go back and get 2 more chops. plus that just defeats the whole purpose. these pickers need trained better. i don't blame them if the training is poor which im assuming it is since this type of thing happens alot, i just usually don't complain. if its the pickers fault, hold them accountable, if its the training then hold them accountable. somebody just needs to care
I rated this 1 star because the picture showed 4 thick chops. Only getting 2 little chops. I cook for 4 people. I was very disappointed I only received 1 package of 2 chops. It was only $4 and something however they show a picture of 4 chops at $8 something. Why not just send 2 packages so I can cook for 4? They don't have a problem with substituting other things I bought in the past and jacking the price up. I know they will taste good, just not enough chops for 4
did'nt receive the pork chops,,charged $7.25 on my order..very disappointed ☹️ mistakes are getting more frequent at Walmart, pls. do better.. ordered from Rt. 9 ..instead of quaker ridge, because deliveries were getting worse, now this at this WALMART!!
I'm tried of getting small portions of meat items delivered. I'm feeding a family. This is not going to feed 4 people. I'm guilty of not reading the details. But this is so wrong for them to show 4 pork chops in this picture when you only get 2 small little pork chops. Just be aware you will not be getting 4. They do this to lower the average price making it seem cheaper by packaging very small portions without an option to tell the person shopping to get a larger size. This isn't the first time and I'm tired of it!
I purchase these pork chops for dinner. When I opened the package to start preparing them I found the meat was green and had a bad odor. There was no way I would feed that to anyone, so it went into the trash. I had picked up my order and ai had no no time to return it to the store. I will never buy meat at Walmart again.
I bought three packages of these on April 20th for delivery. They gave me three packages that all expired on April 20th, the day I bought them. The first package I opened smelled like it was turning rotten. Other than that I'm sure I would have been happy with the product.
The meat had a slick film overit like it was old and had an off smell while cooking it it shrank to half its thinkiness and left a lot of water/grease in the pan it felt like cutting rubber springy not meat like at all took three bites and threw the rest away waste of time and money will never buy again
