Portable Portable Wheelchair Ramp for Home, Threshold Handicap Ramp 5'

Ordered this ramp for my uncle 4 days before New Years Eve, which is when he was coming over... not only did it get here earlier than expected but it was easy to open and put out! A little heavy but thats to be expected. No complaints here! My uncle was pleasantly surprised when he saw it and rolled right up it effortlessly! Didnt feel unsafe or like it was going to buckle. He was happy and felt safe on it and thats all I care about! Id also like to add that my uncle is a big guy, not obese but hes a little over six feet tall and weights about 240-250 not counting the weight of his chair bc hes paralyzed from the belly button down. Those chairs arent light weight. (Just to give a better idea, hope this helps someone!)

I was able to make quick ramp for wheel chair and to walk on also so didn't have use steps. I put support middle way to give more stableity

Bought it before I left rehab %26 was able to walk up stair when I got home. Never used it

Good quality and value better than I expected for the price .These ramps work very well in my bathroom and my wife can set them up easily at only 7pounds each. The only modification I can see needed is a adjustable bracket for the top and bottom to ensure even spacing . I am thinking a turn buckle with H that slides over the end of the channel and would hide underneath the lip while not protruding in the path of the wheelchair wheels .

I'm optimistic that these will pair with my studio equipment. Have you ever saw an artist with something in their ear? That's because we need to hear the music over the noise. I feel that these might work well for that application.

From garage floor to kitchen door, it fit just right. Be prepared to support the spanwith block or bricks to assure long term, repetitive use as the span is only fairly strong. I would never attempt 600 pounds without additional support. I weigh 260 and it made me feel uneasy walking up the span-especially mid-way. Other than that, with combination of wood spacers, block, and shims, this is a very nice ramp and a perfect solution without spending what you would have to, to have a contractor build a custom one.

I like the ramp. It is ok. It is a little shaky unless you bolt it down. It, "flexes," a lot when you are on it, which is a scary feeling. I'm very glad I only need it for a few days until I can get a permanent ramp. It wasn't packaged well and since it is a heavier item, it took a beating before delivery. One side, "rail," was bent in and had to be hammered up into place.

Poor design flaws, obviously not well tested or made with collaboration of people with disabilities. 1) Handle is in the middle of the underside and sticks straight down when ramp is deployed keeping the ramp from laying flat with a 3 inch rise. This is exactly a 1 and 12 slope and it does not work. Handle should have been on the side and out of the way. BTW handle is riveted not bolted so pain to relocate. 2) Bottom edge where the wheelchair enters is about a half inch high. Duh. Not good for a wheelchair. Bottom edge needs same thin piece as top.
