I got this drill set for my husband. By him being Into repairs and having his Contractor license he loves tools and building beautiful homes. I got this for him not even being sure of how it worked or if he didn't like it or whether itdo they would even be able to withstand the work that he does. But he loves them. he put them together and went to putting things together and. The construction of them is very heavy and the way that they are made is very awesome.l lol
Porter-Cable PCCK602L2, 2-Tool 20-Volt Max Power Tool Combo Kit 20 Volt Max ½” Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill/Driver 20 Volt Max ¼” Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Driver 21RU25 Battery Charger Two 21RU24 20 Volt Lithium-Ion Batteries Double Ended Screwdriver Bit Carrying Bag (enough space for all equipment listed above) These products are professional grade yet easy robust and understand. They could easily be found in a contractor's truck or on a home work bench. They are simultaneously powerful and accessible. Each tool features a bright white LED light that allows the user to easily focus on the task at hand. As with most drills, each also has forward, reverse, and lock settings, all in one switch. Each tool has variable speed control through the trigger, making the speed control intuitive. Finally, each tool uses keyless chucks to easily set any size drill bit. Magnetic strips on the top of the tool body allow the user to hold drill bits or hardware close at hand. The ½” drill includes a “low gear” and “high gear” switch that allows the user to use more torque as needed. Furthermore, the ½” drill has a specific torque setting that prevents the user from over-tightening screws. The ¼” impact driver uses a pullout quick disconnect to hold standard ¼” hex accessories. It is as if Porter-Cable surveyed weekend do-it-yourself repair folks, compiled a wish list of features, and then engineered them into easy-to-use tools. However, Porter-Cable integrated their knowledge and experience of building of professional grade tools into the same products. The result is a sharp product that is easy to use, well built, and very reliable!
I recieved this product for my honest rating and review. I recieved Porter Cable 20-Volt Max Lithium -Ion cordless drill & Impact driver combo kit. The package came well packaged with no damage. It includes 1/2 inch drill/ driver, 1/4 inch Impact driver, 2- 20 volt lithium batteries, 1-lithium Ion charger, 1-storage bag, 1- double ended bit tip, and 1- #2 screwdriving bit. The kit comes with a 3 year limited warranty, a 1 year free service, and a 90 day money back guarantee. It didn't take long to charge and was easy to assemble and use right away. This set is small and compact, and feels comfortable in my hand. It isn't very heavy and bulky like my old drill so I am very happy with this product. I am very satisfied with this combo drill/ driver kit and rate it 5 out of 5.
I love this PORTER CABLE 20-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill & Impact Driver Combo Kit. I have borrowed my dad's tools for all these years and I think it is time to have some of my own tools and these are great to start with. My dad's drills seems a little heavy compared to these. I like that it is not extremely heavy, but I must admit I still need both hands for support when I am using it. It packs enough power for what I need to use them for. Mainly to install some shelves, book cases, tv stand, etc around the home. I am not using it for heavy duty projects, but I am sure it will hold up. Although it is lighter than other drills I have used, there is still a lot of power to it. The battery charges pretty quickly and both tools has a battery fuel gauge that displays the amount of charge left in the battery which I really like so you don't have to guess how much power you have left. It is also awesome that it is cordless. There is nothing more troublesome than to be working a power tool while hassling with the cord. This combo kit also comes with a handy bag. I love it, you stay organized and you're able travel around with it without carrying pieces separately, just throw everything in the bag and you're ready to go.
This is a fantastic drill set. The combo includes the benchmark 20V Drill and Impact driver, 2 20V batteries and a charger. I would highly recommend this set for medium to heavy duty usage. These drills are lightweight, compact, and have great features like battery indicator on the lower body, and a top mounted magnet set that keeps your extra drill bits firmly secured. I received this tool a few days ago, so this review is based in my experience using it just once. From my previous experience with other similar drill, this is less heavy and strong enough to help me to install a shelf in the basement and should say that the quality and performance surpassed my expectations. Something that I really like about this product is that I don't have be worried about cables because is totally cordless (the batteries charge quickly with the included charger). The bag is a plus since I don't want to have a mess in my husband's working area.
Great drill and driver combo kit. This is the best set I've had. Usually my sets end up getting separated with the pieces getting lost or broken. That will not be the case with this set by Porter Cable. This kit comes with a carrying case and the tops of the drill and the driver has two magnetic strips to hold loose pieces or screws in a safe spot until you need them. The driver can drill through metal, wood, and is able to quickly fasten applications one handed. It also comes with a battery charger so that you can drill/driver cordlessly. I love the battery gauge. Press the button and you can easily tell when you need to charge the battery.
My husband loves these drills! This set came with 2 drills, 2 batteries, a charger and a bag. The drills work great and the battery lasts long. He uses these for work and would absolutely recommend them.
This drill and impact driver are a great combination for so many uses. The impact driver is excellent for uses from removing and installing lawn mower blades to removing lug nuts. The grip is good for those with small or large hands. They charge quickly and the charge lasts a really long time. There is a light feature that activates when you press the power button which illuminates the area that you're working on (fantastic feature!!). This set is perfect for those replacing their old ones or purchasing new ones.
I recently received the Porter-Cable PCCK602L2 combination pack as a gift. The package contains the PCC600 ½” drill/driver, the PCC640 ¼” impact driver, two 20v lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a carry bag. The kit also includes a double ended Phillips/flat screwdriver bit, and a #2 Phillips screwdriver bit. The drill has a ½” capacity, multiple clutch settings, (2 – 12 plus a “drill” setting that has no clutch setting). The clutch settings are handy to prevent over-driving screws, and on top of that the drill has two torque settings. The low setting has lower RPM, but higher torque, which is good for driving screws, and a high setting, which is best used for drilling because it has lower torque but higher RPM. For those who need it, this is not a hammer drill, so there is no corresponding setting and if drilling concrete you will rely solely on speed/RPM's. The impact driver is ¼' drive and is listed as capable of 1400 inch/lbs of torque, or just over 100 ft/lbs per Porter Cable web site. There is no torque adjustment or limiting device, so there is no way to control over driving. I got to use the impact driver for an extensive project and found it to be quite adequate. I had to replace the rollers on my garage door, but since I live in Florida and have a “hurricane rated” door, each roller is supported by two hinges, each with 6 bolts. So, since there is 10 rollers on the door necessitating the removal and reinstallation of over 120 (there are additional anchors that had to be moved), the impact driver got quite the workout. I used it for over an hour straight with very few interruptions, and it ran smooth the whole time. No over hating was noted. After finishing, the battery was still at least 2/3 full. One thing to note is that the kit does not come with any driver attachments. To drive bolts and nuts, you will need to purchase an adapter kit that adapts the 1'4” hex opening on the driver to be able to mount 3/8” or 1/2” sockets needed for most jobs. Not a show stopper, but if you don't already have such an adapter set, you might want to explore your options as there are several different sets. Check them out, and once you figure out what your needs will be, you can pick one up when making your purchase. I used the drill a few times, just to try it out, and found it to be a decent drill. Nothing spectacular, but it's up to the job, and I can easily recommend it. It's very light weight and capable, with the only question looming over either product being longevity. Since I haven't been able to use these tools for a long period of time, that is yet to be determined, but I see nothing that would make me believe that the tools are not suitable for around the house or DIY type use. While talking about suitability, I did try to remove the lug nuts on a newer car that still had the factory torque on them and it was unable to break them free until I replace the battery with a fresh one. After that, I was able to break some of the nuts free, but some of them took a bit of work. Since most lug nuts are torqued under 100 ft/lbs, either the lug nuts were over torqued on the assembly line, or the PC claim of over 100 ft/lb torque capability is suspect. This doesn't strike me as unreasonable since this is only ¼' drive and is battery powered, so you shouldn't expect it to perform to the same level as a standard mechanic used pneumatic impact wrench. My use on the garage door project was enough to show that it is quite capable of handling almost every home project you can throw at it. Both the drill and the impact driver have built in led lights that illuminate the work area. This is a nice touch and can come in handy. The both also have two magnetic bit holders on the top of them that are handy if you need two different bits for a job, making swapping easier as you don't have to keep looking for the needed bit. The magnet is quite strong, so you don't have to worry about the bits being knocked off in use. The kit comes with two 20v lithium-ion batters and a charger. The batteries seem to be long lived as evidenced by my one-hour project that only consumed less than a third of the battery capacity. That was easy to determine since each of these tools has a built in battery gauge that can be used to check the charge state of the in-use battery, so you won't be surprised by a dead or dying battery. Once dead, the charger is able to recharge the battery in less than an hour. And, since these are lithium-ion, it's safe to leave a battery on the charger indefinitely and it will be fully charged whenever you need it. This is especially helpful for a home use product that is only used sporadically. My previous battery powered drill used Nicad batteries, but these work best when fully discharged before being recharged, and it's not good for the battery to leave it on the charger. Finally, in case you need it, the set comes with a 3-year basic manufacturer's warranty that covers repair or replacement for any defects due to faulty material or workmanship that is not attributed to normal wear and tear. There is also a 1-year warranty that covers any problem, even if its from normal wear and tear. The warranty on the batteries is two years, and there is also a 90-day money back guarantee, no questions asked, if you don't find the product acceptable for any reason. I can easily recommend this set for home use and feel it is up to the task for most day-to-day projects with solid performance, great battery life and quick recharge when needed.
