This is hands down the nicest tool set i've ever owned. The lithium battery has lasted an entire day of drilling holes in fiberglass & metal. I've only used 2 of the tools so far but i am impressed with the power and the duration of staying powerfull, so far. The flashlight is very powerfull and bright, you'll definitely like the flashlight. The drill hasn't bogged down once & it has gone an entire day of drilling 1/8" holes. Every tool in the kit seems to have improvements over the older models ( i'm a lifelong Porter Cable fan ). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to my family & friends. 5 stars from me.

I love this set because it is battery operated. The battery packs do not add substantial weight to each tool over a normal tool's weight, but they get rid of the cord. Being someone who knows how to properly use power tools, but only uses them on an occasional basis, I have always hated the cord getting in the way, whether because the cord is too short, at the wrong angle to cut safely, or catching on the edge of the wood I am dealing with. There are two battery packs with this set, one small and one large, but each is interchangeable with the other one and both work with all the tools. It is a matter of how long you are planning on using the tool, and how much power you are trying to pull at a time. I am thinking that this set will mostly appeal to hobby shop tinkerers (like me) and probably not professionals, unless you also get more batteries (which you can buy separately). Several of the tools have hand-set blades, so you will not have to worry about the small tools you need to attach blades to like with some older saws. The table (circular) saw has an adjustable shoe so that the cutting depth of the blade is correct, and you can make cuts up to 90 degrees from the shoe. The jigsaw's shoe also has an adjustable angle so that you can cut at up to 45 degrees. The tiger (reciprocating) saw is prefect for jobs like trimming small branches and other less precise work, and you are unhindered by the length of a cord. The drill does not come with any bits (except a screwdriver bit), but it does take standard bits. The same applies to the impact driver, but socket bits are easy to find (if you don't already own some). I have not had time to use the grinder, but it looks pretty simple and straightforward to use. There are also thoughtful extras with this set, like two tool bags for storage, sandpaper for the oscillator, and a spotlight to make sure your work area is nice and bright.

I would highly recommend the PORTER CABLE 20-Volt Max Lithium-Ion 8 Tool Combo Kit, PCCK619L8. My husband loves this set. The set came with just about all the tools that he wanted, a drill driver, impact driver, circular saw, flashlight, reciprocating saw, jigsaw, grinder/cut-off tool, and multi-function saw. The kit came with two batteries, a 2amp and 4amp battery as well as battery charger. The tools are very well put together and have great features. For being the largest size, 20 Volt, the tools are not too heavy for me to handle and I especially like the design of the drill and impact drivers because the weight is more balanced in my hand than other drivers I have used in the past. Porter Cable has several other tools that can be purchased that can work with these tools also. The set comes with two bags to hold everything in and even blades and grinding wheels for the assorted tools. I feel that this set would be a great beginning set for anyone purchasing a cordless tool set or for a pro that uses tools everyday in a trade. The only thing that someone would need that is not included in the kit is more batteries.

The above statement I do not make lightly. For over twenty years I worked as a carpenter until retiring from the field over 5 years ago. I have used many cordless tools throughout those many years and they continually got better, lighter, and more powerful. The last professional set I owned was a multi-piece 36-volt Rigid set, along with a 24-volt Milwaukee set. The PORTER-CABLE PCCK619L8 20V Max 8-Tool Combo Kit comes with: 1. ½”-Inch Drill/Driver; 2. 6-1/2” Inch Circular Saw, 3. Reciprocating Saw (Aka Saw-Z-All) 4. Jig Saw 5. LED Flashlight 6. ¼”-Inch Impact Driver; 7. Oscillating Multi-Tool 8. Grinder. 9. 2 Batteries and Charger 10. 2 Storage Bags So far, I used the first five listed. All are as good or better than a similar variation of that tool. Unlike other ½”-inch Heavy-Duty Driver-Drills, this one doesn't feel too awkward—either too big, too top-heavy, or too bottom-heavy because of its massive battery for simpler jobs. It's well-balanced and compact enough to perform minor home repairs like driving-in screws or other little stuff. All three saws (6-1/2” Inch Circular Saw, Reciprocating Saw and Jig Saw) are very capable and well-balanced. I've never understood why all cordless circular saws come with a left-sided blade while its corded 8-inch big brother commonly comes right-sided but that's a complaint for all cordless circular saws! The Reciprocating Saw felt as capable as my previous 36-volt version; and the Jig-Saw felt like a noisy little beast. The flashlight is insanely bright but small and convenient—and in Florida it's guaranteed we will lose power at some point. I haven't had a need to use the multi-tool but plan to make use of the grinder soon, as I will be stripping the paint off an aluminum-frame bike to repaint it. Having used the other pieces, I'm confident it is up to the job. The PORTER-CABLE PCCK619L8 20V Max 8-Tool Combo Kit I received is the best cordless set I've owned. Period.

Drill Driver which may be my go-to tool, an Oscillating Multi-Tool I need more practice with it, I was somewhat awkward using for me. It also comes with a very nice Pivoting LED Flashlight. I like the Impact Driver, Cut-off tool grinder a must for those old nails etc. and 3 Saw's (Circular, Reciprocating Tiger Saw and JigSaw) they all work as expected. This set also comes with a battery and charger and Kit bags. This is a power pack kit that delivers performance for all your projects. Lightweight and compact tools are what I like most about this kit. I think this 8 tool combo kit can be of value to your projects around the house or otherwise. I felt empowered and comfortable with most of the tools in this kit. I still have to get more comfortable using most of the tools in this kit. I look forward to using in my spring projects. I like the idea of making my own DIY natural wooden plant pots for my very large house plants and maybe an herb garden plant box as well.

I was optimistic about this purchased. I haven't had good luck with battery powered tools in the past. However, I am impressed with every tool in this bundle having use them all. I am a handy man and these are life savers when it comes to power tools. I absolutely recommend these tools. The battery life is pretty decent when working them hard on big projects. Nothing but big smiles here.

My husband and I just bought a house that is in need of some work and we plan to tackle most of the work ourselves. Honestly, we are so excited to have this set. It comes with a drill driver, impact driver, circular saw, reciprocating saw, jigsaw, grinder/cut-off tool, multi-function saw and a flashlight. Plus, along with two storage bags it has two batteries, a 2 amp and 4 amp, and includes a battery charger. Since we will mostly be cutting and laying all the moldings and replacing all the doors with new wood doors we knew we needed some decent working saws to help us get the job done quick and done well. We have a few tools we have bought individually but loved that this set has it all. The tools are heavy enough to show off the good quality and lightweight enough for most to be able to use the tool without undue strain. The handles are a good grip and feel comfortable in my hand and my husband's. Each tool has its own instruction manual for ease of use once you pull it from its original packaging. We already decided to purchase more batteries so we can have enough power on hand when we start the project. It's also nice that if we do need to add any tools, Porter Cable has compatible tools to add to the collection. This set is a great starter pack for anyone looking to quickly build up their tool supply or even for someone in the trades. This would also make a perfect gift set for the Holidays.

I am a DYI guy and I needed a GOOD set of tools' I am Very happy with the combo set I purchased !!! Great Tools at a wonderful price!! Love the drill-driver and the saw, they got the most work on the new deck I Installed the next day after I purchased them. I have had no problem at all with the tools or batteries. This Porter Cable tool kit is awesome! It comes with drill driver, impact driver, circular saw, tiger saw, jig saw, multi-tool, grinder, flash light, 2 Batteries, charger, and storage bags. It comes with all the tools needed to get almost any job done. These are excellent tools for any DIY home improvement enthusiast or for any one looking to do some odd jobs around the house. I have been using these for odd jobs around the house & can personally say they have worked excellent for everything I have done. These tools are powerful, yet lightweight. The batteries are interchangeable with all the tools in the kit and have a good runtime. The battery life on a single charge is amazing. The 4Ah battery obviously lasts longer than the 1.5Ah battery, but both hold a nice charge. I have been using these tools quite a bit and have been surprisingly very impressed. These tools are powerful, durable and get the job done. They have completed every task asked of them flawlessly so far, without a bit of trouble. The box also says the tools come backed with a 3 year limited warranty. So far I haven't had any issues but was impressed that the tools come with some sort of warranty. Overall a must buy if your looking for a great set of power tools. This is the perfect tool set for anyone wanting to have a variety of cordless tools for various projects.
