Porter Cable 6Amp Orbital Jigsaw

The Porter Cable PCE345 6amp jig saw is a basic “no frills” jigsaw for someone who does not use one very much and doesn't need super fancy cuts. So there's no light, dust blower, and the angles will be limited. There ARE orbital setting though for making cutting through different materials easier. That being said it's a solid unit, and very good quality. It's more a mid-range level, not exactly the cheapest most basic, and has a lot of things going for it. It feels very well made and there is not a lot of vibration when compared to cheaper saws. I found it easy to control. If you are an occasional user of this saw I'd highly recommend buying the extra blades now and keeping them in the box or wherever you store such things. 6 Amps also means this thing is very powerful. It's going to be able to handle whatever job you are throwing at it, and it can do it very precisely and speedily too. The manual that comes with it is actually pretty good if you don't use saws like this much. All in all, this is a great buy and perfect for me. Love It!

My son is taking carpentry with his Career Tech school this year and wanted this jigsaw that I chose through the walmart spark reviewer program. He loves it. says he can operate this one just as he does the one in his carpentry class. He says it has plenty of power and gets the job done.

I had a ball using this with my friend. I needed two dressers taken down. He whipped through them both in mins. I am not sure you will see the images and the scraps on the floor. It was not that loud either which was a blessing. I would say this came right on time for my needs. What I found good was the safety of this unit. I was shown in one simple step how to remove and store that sharp blade. Trust me I am not doing it but you sure can. It's super easy to hold while using. I know it does not matter to most people. I have to have things store easily for later use. This was able to slip right in the same box it arrived it. I am not sure about being allowed to say this. If I had a man to gift this holiday it would be this. I am making myself an ottoman and another computer desk. Thank you for the blessing. I am sorry for running on. I love this drill.

I just love my new Porter Cable Orbital Jig Saw! Porter Cable made the blades so easy to insert. No keys to change the blades. Just lift the locking lever, and insert the blade. The grip is great, and love that the 7-speed dial is right there by your fingers, along with the lock button, making both so easy to adjust. The speed is incredible, and cuts so easily through wood. I am having so much fun with it! I do a lot of DIY and I decided my first project with it would be a holiday sign with my new saw. The saw cut so smooth through the different types of woods I was using, leaving nice clean cut lines. I was able to easily adjust the speed and the depth on the saw. I never lost control when cutting, the saw is powerful, but the hand grip is so remarkable. I was able to cut corners so easy. The cutting edges are so smooth, perfect for my sign. The 4 position settings allowed for different depths, The 4 position settings allowed for different depths. I love my new sign I made. You can easily make a pocket cut with this saw. I started a cut into a hollow door to make a square for a doggie door. I started to cut the wood with the saw in a angle. It worked perfectly, with clean edges. If you like to do your own projects around the house or for enjoyment, this is the perfect orbital jig saw for you.

My husband really likes this jigsaw!! It's perfect for the little wood crafts I request pretty often of him hahaha! He says it's one of his favorite little power tools. It just gets the job done!!!

I own several PC power tools, with this jig saw being the most recent addition. Very impressed with its power and smooth operation. A great tool that will last me a long time.

My son purchased this jigsaw for me for my birthday. I am a novice when it comes to woodworking. I absolutely recommend this saw! It is really great quality and super easy to use! It does nice easy cuts as well as pocket cut. My favorite...mitre cut. Just love this saw and look forward to more wood projects. By the way I am the mom in case you thought this was a guy thing.

I just bought it yesterday for my DIY project. I cut wooden circles of 3/4" thickness and 2" & 3" (2 inches & 3 inches) diameter very very easily and precisely without using any circle jig. Then I had to cut some plywood sheets with it. I am very much impressed with its build quality, 7 controllable speed settings, orbital feature, and key-less blade change features. What else to say? Just use it to enjoy it :-). I highly recommend this product.

blade provided does not stay in place properly. Brought back to store to show and tell, and the problem was very easy to replicate. At least it isn't dangerous when the blade falls loose while cutting.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas it looked great but we were packing things up for a move. So it got stored in its box that it came in and moved to a new home. I finally got things organized and went to use it almost a year later. I took it out of the box I plugged it in and use it for approximately three minutes until smoke started pouring out of the housing and it froze up. Not real happy.
