Great Addition to Tool Chest

MamaB719 November 14, 2018

This oscillating saw cuts very well. I love the quick change feature that allows me to change the blade with a simple squeeze. It's lightweight and durable, yet powerful and has many settings. The only slight issue I've had is opening & closing the accessory case is a little tricky. Otherwise, I love abc and will be looking to get more tools in this set.

Works Great!

blueangeleyes5 November 21, 2018

This is a great tool to have on hand! I used it today to sand baseboards after installation. Works like a charm. It's size made it easy to sand the caulk in the corners and edges. It comes with several attachments and a storage container to keep everything in one place. I did have to purchase a battery separately. It's longevity is comparable to most hand tool batteries. Great for your power tool collection!

Versatile

Myaunty November 30, 2018

I've only been able to use it once & only with the attachment it came with, the sander. It's great how easy it is to use and light weight it is. It didn't come with a battery, so I had to Purchase one. The battery charges surprisingly fast. I plan to get the other attachments, so I can do other projects.

Easy to use, great price!

glitzNgloss November 25, 2018

This tool works well, with plenty of power and it is very easy to use. I have other similar power tools, which are not as easy to load and unload in terms of attachments. The design of the unit is nice, but it's a bit bulky, especially with the larger 4 amp battery pack. Overall it seem's pretty durable and I have not had any problems with it so far. For this price point, I think this is a great key piece to own and would recommend it.

Never knew I needed one of these

Phils December 25, 2018

Got this tool in a combo pack and used a couple times around the house over the past year. Recently redid a bathroom demo to study/joists and back and used this tool every step of the way; clean and accurate cuts on wood, pvc, and copper pipe. Slices through dry wall allowing cleaner demo and cutouts when putting walls back up... no complaints and got one for father-in-law this Christmas.

Tool

Pitty November 25, 2018

Seems to work well so far, only used 1 time to trim the bottom of a bathroom door and it worked great. Feels good on the hand seemed easy to handle. I can see using it in many other situations to come. I also like the fact it's battery operated ( this particular one didn't come with battery) bought separately. But the fact it's battery operated you can travel and use it anywhere.

died after very minimal use

chase November 12, 2020

Have the PC 20v impact driver and drill that i really like. bought this tool and used it for very little (<1hr) before it started pulsing (surging motor speeds) and it had some sort of internal failure. Additionally it was extremely loud before it died, much louder than chorded versions of this tool i have. stay away, waste of money.

Overheat Shutdown in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

David818 May 28, 2020

So I just got the Porter Cable 20v Oscillator 2 hrs ago, since I have the power drill and impact wrench. It would be nice to use the existing batteries. Dead wrong. I read and watched the bad reviews after I ordered it and hoping I would luck out. I used it to cut a metal wire rack. Nothing much, right? Wrong! I even used brand new Imperial Blades with Titanium tips and 3 minutes it kept on shutting down. Usually do to overheating, a fail safe on how they wired it up. Or, it could be a horrible motor and or wiring. So I am not the only one that this has happened to. How can a company stand by a product this bad for so long and have done nothing to correct the issue. You give a company a chance to do it right and they turn their backs on you. If it did work however, I would say it is super light, vibration without the blade is none existent but with the blade its not too bad. It has a good amount of noise when turned up but bearable. Grip is not too girthy. Quick and easy Blade release.

Quit working after very little use

Mike of all trades March 21, 2019

I bought a combo kit containing this tool in the summer of 2017. At first I loved it. Then while using it a few weeks ago, it just stopped working. I changed out the battery for a fresh one, still no luck. The light on the tool lights up, but the tool will not function. I have used this tool very little, maybe 3 batteries worth of use at the very most. As explained in other reviews, it costs as much to send it in to have it fixed, as it does to just replace it, which I will do, but not with another like this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PUCHASING THIS TOOL as you are taking the risk of having the same experience.
