These shoes have a tight fit around the ankle making it a little difficult to put them on. The loops at the front and back of the shoe tops really help. I wear a medium weight sport sock and a lighter weight sock might work better. You need a full-length sock or else the shoe top will chafe your ankle. The shoe sole is very strong and thick. I would think that the shoe sole will give a long life.

My husband is a little picky with his shoes. I couldn't find her size in another “fancy store” but when he tries these ones on, he loved them immediately!!! Very comfy, great quality and the price very convenient with the “black Fridays sales! I paid less than $25 bucks for a great item! (Other stores, pair like these over $60! )

Way over expectations. I've gotten too old to tie shoes. But still like to putter around the house and shop taking care of honey-do's.. Always wore boots. These are way better than what I'd hoped for. Am about to buy a second pair. So thankful.

These boots are not made of leather -- but I knew that when I bought them. I just wanted to say that up front so there was no confusion. That is the reason why I would rate these a 4-star for quality. With that said, these boots fit well, don't hurt my feet, and more importantly don't chafe my shins. They provide excellent grip and are waterproof as far as I can tell -- and I've been wearing them for a few weeks in dreary, wet, slushy, cold Ohio winter weather. They clean up nicely with a bit of leather cleaner on a microfiber cloth, but they don't get "shiny" if that is something you are looking for.

True to size and width is great (wide width). Comfortable too. Portland boot quality is great but all man made material. Not sure if waterproofing will work on outer layer but will work in the seams around the sole. Easily able to slip on with the two finger loops, which seem to be well attached.

My husband really liked these boots. They are attractive, and are good quality. The leather doesn't look as real or as expensive as I would have hoped, but the stitching around the soles are well done. They are comfortable and true to size. For the price, you can't beat it.

I picked these up so I don't always have to wear my clunky work boots in public. This is definitely a summer boot. There's no insulation and the material is kind of thin, but appears to be well made. I wear a size 13 and the fit is good. I've only worn them a couple times and the one thing I'm not sure about is that the souls seem to be kind of slippery. I haven't scared out or fallen yet however on a hard floor I've noticed that they seem slippery so I don't know what will happen if I get on a wet surface. I think of the souls offered just a little more traction that would be an improvement.

These boots look great in pictures but were not very comfortable when I wore them. The boot looks nice from afar but it almost looks rubbery up close, though it is all synthetic. The size 11 (which is my usual size) was very narrow and tight for me personally so I haven't worn them very much. The sole also looks very cheap and is a very hard rubber. The stretchy ankle part is helpful in getting the boot on and off. It's a decent boot for the price but I'd probably look for something else next time.

I thought there would be a zipper on the side. The area around the ankle is very stiff making long term wear risk blistering above the ankle. The looks are fine and the quality is not bad. Just zero comfort.

Bought several pairs for Christmas gifts for the family, many different sizes and two different colors. They fit well, but within the first month one pair failed two weeks later another and 3 months later two more pairs. They were used just for wearing around the yard and trips to school, because of the easy on off. But the soles have came off, the intersole has seperated and the fake leather material is peeling away. Do not buy unless you only plan to wear hand full of times.
