This gate is perfect for what i wanted it for. I use it to block my bedroom from the dog,as she was pushing her way in and getting into stuff. It is easy to climb over or to just unlock and move.the dark color blends in really nice with my door. I really like it.
I love the appearance of this baby gate it fits my house as aesthetic very well it is very reliable as I have twin 2 year old girls that try to climb on it all day and it is not broken for over 2 years it is very easy to assemble and I would highly recommend
I love this gate so much, Ive never seen a blue one like this one before, it adds a really nice twist to the traditional oak ones! This one is also really sturdy, and didnt leave marks on my wall! Im really happy i purchased this one
This was perfect for what I needed. It seems sturdy enough to block two small dogs from one area but light enough to move out of the way easily. We modified it for our situation and its just exactly what we needed.
thank you for the replacement it keeps my puppy in some what. H e has chewed the plastic screen two very large holes, yes large enough for her to walk through; do you replace the gate if the plastic screen has been chew out,, thoma
This gate has been a staple in our family over the years. It has helped with many pets and three children. I always loved the ease of use and versatility. I just bought two 32" gates after years of being gate-less. I was disappointed to see that Evenflow had changed the locking mechanism from the metal- easy to use- to a plastic model that is difficult to use and lesser quality. I assume it is cheaper for Evenflow but also makes the gate much less desirable. The picture on the website shows the former metal latch not what it actually has.
I thought I was doing something wrong, it was so flimsy and difficult to lock. No, I was right, It's just flimsy and difficult to lock. I miss the basic U-shaped, metal lock from before. I would buy gate after gate because they were sturdy and reasonable. The wood flexes too much with the right tension. Too little tension and the gate falls off. Walls are really not always flush and plumbed perfectly. No room for error.
I do not have a baby at my house 24/7; I am a grandmother of 1 and a mother of 3 (2 of whom are 11 and 13). I have bought 4 of these gates in the past 6 months. The first two broke within a week of having them. I had assumed it was due to my daughter being careless and purchased another one. The last two that I purchased, however, taught me otherwise. I was putting the first one in place and it broke at the hinge on the main part of the gate! These things are VERY poorly made and most definitely NOT worth wasting your money on. I would post a picture of the broken piece, but the website won't even upload it (it's been spinning for several minutes now!)
I bought the latest gate that expands to 42”. They changed the way you “lock” the gate in position and IT DOESNT WORK!! I just wasted my money on this now stupid gate. Will NEVER buy another one with this “feature” again. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WAY OF SECURING THE GATE. Worst idea EVER! Oh yes. I had to give it one star otherwise it wouldn't let me post. But really No stars on. This new gate is that bad.
I bought this gate a few months ago from Walmart. It has not held up at all. Just from regular use the medal piece to lock it in place has come almost completely unscrewed which causes it to come unlatched all on its own. I saw a review that said they had used this gate for seven years, there is no way mine would last that long. It has all but fallen apart and I haven't even had it six months. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't even get used all that often. Very cheap and horrible durability. I went to target and paid a dollar more for the munchkin brand of the same gage and it works amazing! I would never recommend this gate to anyone. My suggestion would be to go buy the munchkin brand gate that is the same design as this one. It is much more durable and will last much longer.
