these things are loud and will riddle your car ... recommend set your amplifier to around 80 hrtz as these dont hit low bass but will riddle in higher bass notes

Hopefully the sound like the other Power Acoustik Subs I have. Just because of personal experience with the quality of previous purchases was a no brainer when I needed a set of Shallow Mount Subs Will add to this review as soon as they are installed I can't wait. To be continued....

First off, they don't seem to sell these on Amazon or many other places. Walmart was one of the few places still carrying them and had a good deal on them. Was trying to mount 10" woofers into a 4" tall space. These have a crazy mounting depth of just 2.5" and the only reason I went with them. I had no real concern for brand at this point, but this was just the slimmest woofer I could find ANYWHERE. It ended up working out for my ridiculously small box. I recessed them and cut baffle openings in the rear to get them to sit as low as physically possible to fit. Overall subwoofer height is just over 3". At first, the subs sounded very thin and shallow, and hardly any bass. I thought I had messed something up, but they slowly seemed to warm up and now the bass is hitting hard and deep out of these tiny boxes. Impressive for the space. So they do need a small break in period, it seems. If you are looking for a 10" woofer to fit into a ridiculously small space, this is pretty much the answer. You're already going to sacrifice some sound quality and bass response just because of your lack of air space, so regardless of how you feel about the brand, they will do the trick. Overall pretty happy.
