If you just want car play and be able to play videos through usb, this player is affordable and had no problems so far. Only trade back is the shop that installed the adapter for the steering wheel controls wont work with this offbrand. Not sure if any other adapters will work but the reverse cameras work. Also there is no rear USB connection because there is one in the front. That feature is a bummer but this player suffices for now. Worth the price.

This radio exceeds expectations. I do recommend people to do the RDS update. If you try to save certain radios will brick your radio until you hit the tiny reset button. The update is available on Power Acoustiks website.

Works very well with apple car play and such. The sound it puts out is ok but for the price you can't beat it

It's a great little radio with surprising specs, did have to update the firmware due to a glitch with it freezing while setting radio stations but other than that's it's buttery smooth and has a ton of great features for the price with true 4V pre-outs.

do the update! i am pleased with the stereo and speakers. i like now having bluetooth and the option for android auto and apple car play are nice. the microphone on the stereo works well for making calls. note about the update. i downloaded and did the file unzip. stereo wasnt taking the update. that is when i learned the park wire has to be hooked up or grounded to by pass and allow the jumpdrive to be found. once i did that the update took about 60 seconds. i found this at a locate walmart and it was clearanced to 90 bucks, so I'm very please and the speakers sound better than me Sony speakers.

Purchased in store and installed in our 2009 Malibu. All functions work great the only exception is that if we attempt to program the channel presets the radio with freeze and cycle on and off every 15 seconds. The reset button next to the USB port makes it easy to fix until I have time to configure the update which I have read is pretty easy. Otherwise you we can just dial to a radio station but be don't listen to the radio much anyway so there's been no rush to update the firmware. The main purpose for the purchase is to have the Apple CarPlay function and it works perfectly. Call quality it is great and speakers work very well. In all it's been a great purchase. Hoping to purchase another one for our 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan

Let's start with everything has to be judged by the price, this isn't a 1000 dollar head unit so don't expect it to be. With that out of the way, initially quality feels pretty good no build issues or flaws and everything is well packed. The speakers are a step up from the 15 year old factory speakers they replaced. They don't carry as much bass as the old paper cones but overall quality was better. Buy better speaker wire if you need it, the included wire is a bit lethargic, I didn't need to use it for my install. The head unit itself installed easily enough with one exception, universal install brackets left it about 1/2 further out than it needed to be for the dash, reusing the factory mounts and adding an additional bolt hole took care of that. (This may be a radio or scosche adapter issue I'm not sure). Boot times are a bit slow but not unreasonable and it seemed responsive once booted. Interfaced easily with my Apple and quickly displayed information. Screen response is great, it's very clear and day readable. Radio reception isn't as strong as my factory unit but it isn't terrible and stations I was interested in came in fine. Interface is intuitive and that's good because the manual is lacking on details. I am curious on how surround sound works but I'll do some online research for that. Overall sound quality is a bit tinny but time with EQ might address that, I'm not sure because here is where it takes a turn for the worse. While setting up the radio it froze up then started and endless boot cycle with an unresponsive screen. A little research showed that pressing the reset button (lower left corner) with a paper clip would reset the unit to get out of the reboot cycle. Once that was done a firmware update would be needed. That worked fine but sheet completing the firmware update the unit became a brick and failed to ever turn in again instead it just cycled on and off with no screen. So there is awesome potential here for the price point but there are certainly some firmware risks to be considered. I'm waiting on a response from PowerAcoustik now. Their customer service will really be the deciding factor on my final rating.

Bluetooth feature stopped working on it. then the annoying buzzing when its on. took it to a shop. and they verified it was the headunit

for the last few days, the device has been restarting by itself continuously. even after i pressed the reset for 11 seconds to hard reset the device. it did not stop the restart problem. now i have to remove the device because it's useless.

Got this on sale at Walmart figured I'd try it for the price. Set it all up and when I go to program radio station presets unit freezes then keeps rebooting itself. Not worth the hassle. Everything else works fine. If you aren't going to use radio stations and just want the CarPlay/auto along with Bluetooth and usb function it's a deal. If you listen to morning or sports talk radio not for you.
