Power Wheels Batman Dune Racer Ride-On Vehicle, 12V

I couldn't be happier with the batman racer. It drives over any terrain. Mud was no match. The battery life is great and you can get a decent charge in a short span (for the days we all forget to charge it). Charged full it lasted a full 2 days. Assembly was great and very easy to follow. Plug battery in as soon as beigning assembly (18 hr 1st charge). Over all I have been very impressed with this batman dune racer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Dune racer lives up to its name. I was able to assemble by myself in under 2 hours while dealing with a newborn on the side. Appearances alone, it's AWESOME down to every detail. A Batman lover will not be disappointed. It holds a charge and I love that you can remove the battery to charge it. It lasts multiple days on one charge depending if your child is driving it consistently for several hours on day 1. My child's attention span only lasts a solid hour before it's time to eat or sleep. We've taken it to the park (pavement and grass) as well as the beach. I was pleasantly surprised by how it handled. It goes faster on concrete as expected but still enjoyable on other terrain. My soon to be 4 year old daughter was a tad short but a pillow later and she's just fine. Plus it allows a larger friend to ride/drive it as well as offers room for her to grow into it. And speaking of passengers, I love how this vehicle has actual room for two kids unlike others where they both need to have the bodies of 2 year olds. Pros: Spacious, Terrain capabilities, Speed levels, Battery length & removal, Appearance, Light (I can lift and move it around and I'm a 115 lb woman) Cons: Too large to pack it and take it places (depending on your vehicle size) and you need to have ample room to store it if you want to keep it protected Overall, my daughter loves it, her friends love it, and I'm pretty sure Batman loves it! Has great power and can slowly climb our backyard on a hill. Fits both our 3 year old and 6 year old and zips around pretty fast on flat surfaces. The best thing about this power wheels is it's tires. I specifically purchased it for the tires. Our backyard is all grass and on a hill. His old John Deere 4 wheeler had flat tires like most power wheels that would just spin while trying to go up the hill, not the dune racer. The Batman dune racer still has the oblong shaped tires so you get more pounds per square inch which translates to far better traction than the standard flat tire variants. I took one star away due to a screw breaking through when screwing the seat down to the passenger side. The plastic is pretty poor on this car unfortunately but that is the case with almost all power wheels.

Number one my son loves it. He loves everything Batman so this was a obvious choice. You do have to do some assembling and if you follow the directions thanks to my wife we did. It went togeather perfectly. The long wait for the battery charge seamed to take forever but completely worth it. Overall I would recommend this to anyone. I received this as part of the Play, Rate and Review program that I joined a few years ago through Mattel and Fisher Price. It's a brand new product as of this review, so we had a few issues in the beginning with parts not being the right ones inside the box, and then the attempt at contacting Mattel to order the corrected parts resulted in another set of parts that didn't fit. Customer service was very good, but we found out later that there had been an issue with parts and the instruction booklet which they have since worked out. All good reasons to have people like me check out the product thoroughly before shipping to all the stores. That said, after sending the wrong parts, they sent us an entirely new Batman Dune Racer. The second one received was perfect, had all parts and a good set of instructions to put it together. My husband spent about 2 hours constructing it. It is a rugged Power Wheels with chunkier tires for gripping a bit of terrain. Its very well built, and has a nice solid sturdy metal frame around the lower body like a real dune buggy has. It had bat wings attached to the hood to make it feel like a super hero's car. The steering works well, as does the shifter to change direction or speed. My older son is 3 1/2 and drove it around a bit. It's very "punchy" when you step on the gas pedal, so it scares him a bit. I know he will get used to it and it will be a favorite toy for him to play around with for years to come! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My kids loved it but product is not very strong

Worse purchase ever! The machine is used. All of he pieces where out of bags and out of wrapping floating around inside of box, the battery hasnt locked down and was free to "SLAM" around inside, all of the ties were broken, you can see the razor blade cutes where someone had opened the box and the tape used to reseal the box was chincy and cheap tape. Thoroughly angry and extremely dissappointed. The car was a birthday gift for my son this weekend and now I have nothing to give him, and I cant get this replaced locally!!!! WAITING ON A RESPONSE TO THIS!!!!

Didn't come with battery in my box. I want to return since the person I waited for on the phone at wal mart said they would call me back after 3 hours with a solution and never called.

Don't waste money on this. It lasted maybe 5 months before it quit working. Waste of 250 dollars and very upset 5 year old.

I was so excited for my three-year-old to get this for his birthday nice in size seemed really sturdy battery held charge for quite a while then after about a week of having it it don't work charge the battery brought it out put it in the car and it won't move
