Power Wheels Dune Racer Extreme Battery-Powered Ride-on, 12 V, Max Speed: 5 mph, Green

My 10, 8, 4, and 2 year old granddaughters came from California for an extended visit last month and spent much of their outdoor time riding around our property in this fun racer car. We have two of these racer cars so the girls were all able to enjoy riding/driving together. One car we bought new from Walmart the other from someone moving out of the area. All the used one needed was a new battery, both cars worked perfectly. The girls had a blast! i highly recommend this racer car, it was well worth the money. We have three great grandsons that will also enjoy riding around our property when they're old enough. Oh i also want to say that most of the time it was the two older girls in one car and the two youngest girls in the other. The 8 and 10 [almost 11] year olds still fit perfectly in the car and their sizes did not slow the car down at all.

Fantastic power wheel for the price. Pretty quick and reasonably rugged. Battery is common size and easily replaceble if needed. BUT do put a ring of gorilla tape around then center tread on the wheels if you are going on the road with it. I put 2 layers and the wheels have lasted a LOT longer than I think they would have without it.

My 4.5 year old learned very quickly how to drive it without hitting things. My 3 year old is still learning the steering concept and will hit things if I am not walking with him. He also need a large pillow behind him so he can reach the gas pedal. The battery seems to last them riding it around our slightly hilly yard for at least 2 hours if not longer. We do have it in the slowest mode that could be why. If you have 2 kids this is the way to go versus get a 1 person vehicle. The photo shows my 5 year old driving with 2 3 year olds and a 1 year old in the front. The 1 year old lasted about 3 minutes then the driver said he was hurting his foot but otherwise if you have 3 small children they can fit, I just walked beside them to make sure they were safe. I would have bought this sooner if I had know about it.

Absolutely the best purchase I have made. I purchased this car for my 7 yr old because I wanted to make sure it could hold her weight. Not only does this car hold her, but my other 2 grandchildren. I know its not meant for 3 kids but this car hold a 3, 5, and a 7 yr old and still goes fast. I love that you can adjust how fast she can go because she needed that extra speed. My Neighbors bought cars for their kids and it goes SUPER slow compared to this one. My daughter and even the 3 yr old grandson love this car. We have had it for almost 3 months and it runs just as good as the 1st day. It goes through hills and bumps just fine. I recommend it 100%. The picture I posted has ME in it... I wanted to prove that it holds 130 lbs. Im 123 lbs. ;)

My son loves this. We bought it after Christmas and took less than a week to arrive. We were extremely happy with how easy it was to assemble. The directions were clear and showed tons of pictures to help. The battery has been holding charge. We were debating between this 12V battery car and a 24V. Im glad we stuck with this one as it goes fast on the higher speed (there are 2 speeds). My son is only two and rides it well. He does have to scoot forward because his legs arent long enough to reach the pedal when hes sitting all the way back. Our neighbors kids (age 4 and 5) also ride it when we are out together and love it. Great purchase and the parts don't seem flimsy or cheap.

A few years ago, one of my neighbors kids had a Power Wheels Dune Racer and it was so awesome, he used to zip around the yard so fast! Not like one of those slow 12 volt ride ons that barely move. My daughter just turned 3 and kept asking for a “Minnie Mouse Car”, so I DIYed the car with vinyl polka dots and a bow, bought the car I already wanted to get her in pink, and she LOVES IT! It goes so fast in fast mode, the battery so far has lasted around 3 hours of stop and go play and that is with my 30lb daughter and my 40 lb sister riding together. This thing is AWESOME. When it needs to go back in the garage, I CAN HOP IN IT TO drive it in! So not only is the pedal close enough for my 3 yr old to reach, there’s enough leg room and weight capacity (130lbs) for me so I don’t have to push it into storage. I would never buy a different ride on, this thing is awesome!!

This car is so stinkin cute! We bought it for my 4 year old grandson's birthday. It took about an hour to put the entire thing together. I suggest charging the battery right away, before putting it together. It's actually supposed to charge for 18 hours. He was so excited! He took to it right away and it's nearly impossible to get him off of it! He rides it in our fenced back yard. It does great in the dirt and grass. Love the green color and that it's a two-seater, so a friend can ride along.

I purchased this power wheel for my son's 5th birthday. It took me about an hour to assemble it by myself and was lightweight and easy to move around. I did read all the complaints about the turn radius. I will say I brushed them aside thinking okay it's no big deal it's a power wheels toy. It legit has a terrible turn radius. My daughter has the pink princess carriage and it has a better turn radius than this little car. However my 5-year-old loves this toy and if it makes him happy I can live with it. After the initial 1st charge the battery lasted for about 4 hours.

Horrible! After reading all these good reviews im upset that we didn’t have the same experience. I put it together decorated it with hulk stickers because my daughter is in love with hulk( thats my only plus) charged the battery the recommended time 18 hrs and it dies within 10-15 minutes. I called they are sending a battery. Hopefully thats the problem. Also it does not seem to go 5 mph. We had a yamaha brand power wheel four wheeler and that is 5 mph too and it was way faster. Im not happy at all. And it would be horrible to try and take all those stickers off and take apart the car to try and bring it back. They might not even take it back i bought it a couple months ago when the price was 250.Horrible horrible. This is my first power wheel brand purchase and will be my last.

This thing is a piece of junk. I bought one for my son because he loved our neighbor's (our neighbor has an older version). After spending 2 hours building it, my son drove it for the first time and the gear shift didnt work - yes, I removed the screw on the gear shift that should have allowed it to go from 2.5 mph to 5 mph. I returned the dune racer and bought a second one. The second one worked fine for two weeks before the gear shift broke down while my son was driving on a sidewalk. I returned the second vehicle and purchased a third. The third one shifted fine, but the higher speed was noticeably slower than the first dune racer. I returned the third dune racer and bought him a Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler instead. It is not as stylish or large, but it is fast and hasnt broken yet.
