I have owned several different set ups over the years, but I was a complete noob when it came to power blocks But I have to admit once you get past their unusual design and feel they are designed for longevity and safety The add-on weights take a little getting used to, but I cannot come up with a better idea for a design, and there is very little to go wrong I must also give credit for the fact that these come very well packed even the small touches like having plastic around every other weight to prevent scratches in transportation was appreciated when you pay this much for a dumbbell set
Ordered at 12 am the night before on the 4th and just received the dumbells today. Was kinda nervous cause I saw other reviews that showed used products getting to them, however my dumbbell is brand new, had the plastic wrap on it and everything, even some of the weight plates have plastic wrap on them. Very happy with this purchase. When I have the money I will be getting the second one to make a pair!
These power locks are great, and an absolute steal at this Walmart price! You're going to pay at least $400 for the same thing anywhere else. Powerblocks were one of the original adjustable dumbbells. They usually have a higher durability, but their recent increase in price doesn't reflect any significant upgrades and improvements. Although, at this price, definitely worth it! Beast of dumbbells, easy to adjust, sturdy, and maybe most importantly, I feel like robocop when I'm working out. “I'd buy that for a dollar!”
Easy to adjust weight to fit the exercise. They don't look like traditional dumbbells but they work well and are the most compact of any out there today.
Definitely a must buy for your home gym. The flat ends are perfect for resting on you thighs, while seated on the bench just before you hike them up. Don't think of them as bulky blocks now, you are lifting weights. GET SWOOL!!
Good product, but pricey. Walmart is selling 1 rather than as a pair, like other sites sell them. For an adjustable dumbbell. A pair is more useful. I ended up buying a second at a higher price than the first. From that perspective, the pricing and marketing is slightly deceptive. But caveat emptor.
My package arrived with the box torn. It appeared that the dumbell was a returned item as it was loose in the box with the plastic bag it was supposed to be in at the bottom of the box. Loose pieces of the adjustable dumbell were clanging around. Very unhappy for having spent $180. Nothing like Amazon.
The listing clearly says “adjustable dumbbells,” but I was very disappointed to find out it's only one dumbbell. To be fair, it says “single” at the end of the sentence, but it should be listed as “adjustable dumbbell” (singular). I'm sure there are people who only want to buy a single one, but the way this is advertised is deceptive—it does not make it clear that you are ordering only one. Otherwise, it seems like a great product, but I haven't had the chance to use it as I will be returning it and ordering from somewhere else.
NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT!! Shipped to the wrong side of the country and delivered to God knows who? Walmart Customer Service was useless, they did NOTHING besides beg for forgiveness. Never got a new tracking number. Never got a new ETA. Never got anything from Walmart.
Received today and the power block is damaged broken part on it.
