Purchased Late January 2026 - delivered ontime and date stated. However received after we got large snow storm. 1st time used February 20 snow storm. Easy set-up, fair price %26 easy to use. you have to have long heavy duty electric cord - long driveway maybe two. worked great, for 4" - did not cut thru end of driveway where plow truck packed snow %26 ice at end of driveway. If snow is more than 6 inches would be wise to go out couple times during storm. I purchased extra warranty coverage. Well worth for 3years extended coverage.
Worked great for the price. Initially I wasn't anticipating this blower to work in a snow storm and it proved me wrong. Worked wonderfully and did a great job. The storm brought sleet and then rain quickly so as it started getting slushy as expected it didn't work as well. The shute was getting clogged. For normal snow conditions, I highly recommend.
I brought this for my 77 year old lady friend who needed something simple to remove snow in front of her garage where her plowman leaves some snow. It was easy to assemble, started right up and easy to move around. Like any corded device one has to careful of tangles etc. The only draw back is the cord unplugs at times which I'll solve with an extender of some sorts. All in all not bad for the price.
We got this for our son and he was very impressed with it. You have to remember to buy the extension cord purchased separately. It is made in China which explains the low price then of $150 in December of 2025. In January of 2026 they can had for $89 for an 18 inch/99 for a 21 inch. Free delivery in a matter of days.
It moved 10" of heavy snow. We had a recent Nor-Easter in Southeast PA. Use only on fresh clean snow. The auger is plastic with rubber wipes. I took several breaks and used a shovel in between uses because I smelled a burning and thought it may have been the motor overheating. the one use was up to 10" of heavy snow on the driveway. It threw the snow just far enough. I did have to push it hard from time to time. For the money it was a great buy.
Is the Powersmart 18” snow blower strictly corded electric or does it also coming with a lithium battery ? The snowblowers electrical cord distal end appears odd like a traditional rated extension cord would not be able to be plugged in or fit. I's an adapter or something missing and needed ! Thx !
Very disappointed with this blower. It was only needed for small jobs, like between parked cars, but couldn't hold up to anything more than 1” and it does nothing with wet snow. I have attempted to contact the seller twice now for a return and get no reply from them. I definitely DO NOT recommend this product!
This product was on clearance. I used it to move snow out of the driveway. It broke in minutes. I requested a return and refund. My request to return. The item has been ignored. As a customer I feel like I've been cheated. I hope Walmart will do the right thing.
If you live where the snow piles up, then don't bother with this snow blower. It's useless in snow, and so hard to push thru more than an inch of snow. It was a waste of money on my part. It was easy to put together, but outside in the snow useless!
I am submitting this review after receiving a full refund from DOBEST/Walmart. I am only out a little time and effort from unpacking/assembling, disassembling/repacking and driving the snow blower to a FedEx shipping location. Now, about the snow blower. It arrived in a timely manner. It was relatively easy to assemble. But upon turning it on it immediately had a VERY strong odor of something electrical burning. I suspected that maybe it was just the motor brushes needing to break in a bit on a new motor. I let the motor run for a few minutes. The odor did not let up... even a little bit. This prompted me to go online and see if there were any reviews related to my experience. Lo and behold, there is a review, complete with photos, where one of these snow blowers actually caught fire. Given the strong odor I experienced, this snow blower would have likely ended up the same way. With all of this said, that's why I returned the snow blower before it even touched its first snowflake. I am pleased to have received a full refund. But there is no way I would ever recommend anyone purchase one of these snow blowers.
