I received this PowerSmart snowblower that I had to cut the box down one side to get it open so I could get it out because it weighs so much. I had to assemble the wheels but was missing a pin, handle, all the wire connections, and put on rubber pieces but the front was bent so had to straighten to get it on. The snowblower would not start electric or pull start. Called to try to return it and they wanted me to take it to fedex and ship it when I could not lift it up to get it in a truck because I could not take the handle off. So, I ended up calling someone for $200 to come in and get it to work because I could not return it. The carburetor was full of gunk, the primer ball was broken so I couldn't even use it, and the rubber gasket on the primer ball was too large to seal so it leaked all over my garage. This definitely not a purchase and use for the snow that we got. I even had to do a video to send to Walmart customer service to try to get claim to return, That was unsuccessful because they still wanted us to take to FEDEX and send back. I wish that I could send the video that I took just so you could see the issues. Very unhappy and feel that I should get some refund for an $800 snowblower that was broken and I could not return it for a refund due to having to return it through FEDEX.
This isn't a bad snowblower. I only had to use it once since getting it. My previous PowerSmart snowblower stopped working and the company doesn't like to keep parts in stock. I was told for just a cable or a gasket, it could take 3 months to get. Pretty pointless when the snow would be gone by then. I started looking for another snowblower and found this one. I was skeptical, but saw this one has a Briggs %26 Stratton motor. That's what pulled me in a little. Then I saw it has a light and heated hand grips. That got my attention more. When it arrived, I set it up and was able to use it the same night. The only two downfalls for me are the hand grips don't get very warm and the clicking when using the levers and rotating the chute. Other than that, it powered through about a foot of wet heavy snow with a layer of ice. I was a little frustrated at first when putting it together, there were cotter pins missing. I found them laying inside the box. Other than these minor issues/annoyances, it's a decent snowblower.
The terrible service from Walmart, the seller and One pay is unfortunately my worst experience. Never again will I use any of these services. I received a damaged item on 2/4/2026. I contacted Walmart, they sent me to the seller the seller sent me to Walmart and when I contacted One Pay the are now over 3 weeks away telling me that they need more information. Still the issue has not been resolved.
DI NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Three weeks of back and forth begging for a refund, I finally get them to send a return label, and now this. This is the absolute worst customer service i have ever received. As the consumer I now have to check the tracking number of a returned item every couple of days to validate when it reaches them, and then ask for a refund yet again. . It has been three weeks now of me begging for a refund. Three weeks of awful communication. Three weeks of back and forth, having to get customer service departments from three different companies involved, three weeks of e mails and phone calls and credit card disputes filed. Three weeks of asking for my money back for a USED and DAMAGED item, and now it's my responsibility to watch the tracking number and “remind” them when it gets back to them so they can process the refund. Unbelievably awful does not begin to describe my experience with this company.
not to buy from walmart and have the item shipped, this snowblower had damage and parts all over and in the box I'm trying to see if the motor starts but, it is a nightmare to put together, I'm 75 years old and probably won't be able to repack it.This will be te last time I deal with walmart , please never have anything shipped from walmart.
Poor quality - the pull chord tangled after an initial use (we lost power and had to fire up a generator to get the snowblower started) and the shaft broke after a single use in lesss than 2 feet of snow. Poor customer service - took 3 months to obtain the correct return label type and get a refund. Don't waste your money.
Easy assembly, started with 2nd pull. Throws snow no problem; my only complaint is it's a bit light for New England snow. My toro stb during last storm - this machine is good enough - works great.
When opening box a red knob fell out . Unit was put together rather easily and quickly and this red knob was located and goes to the fuel shutoff valve. Apparently the fuel is in shut off position as stated by technician.
We were very excited to upgrade to a bigger blower. The first time we used it the wheel fell off. It has continued to do it several times with each use.
This snowblower starts excellent, runs quietly, and it throws snow a long distance. Operate it one handed no problem. Assembly went very smooth.
