The PowerXL Self Cleaning Juicer is amazing! The best thing about it is the self cleaning mode. Makes for such easy clean ups. It is very easy to use since it has a large opening for whole fruits and vegetables (cutting down on your prep time) and provides multiple speeds. Highly recommend!
The PowerXL Self Cleaning Juicer is Great! I love the self-cleaning mode. Anything that is self-cleaning is a plus for me. The PowerXL has many speeds and is powerful. The large opening for whole fruits and vegetables is wonderful. The PowerXL goes through hard or soft food which is a breeze for the 1.3 Horsepower stainless steel blades. I highly recommend the PowerXL Self Cleaning Juicer.
Amazing!! This time of year here in NY you can find amazing deals on apples. This year, i tasked myself with making my own apple juice for the kiddos and after doing some research, decided this was the machine to try it out with. It is fantastic!!! Easy to use and made everything a breeze. I have become a juice making queen with the flick of a button :D
Overall it has been good. Directions are lacking. They are not clear about how to operate it to get the most out of the unit. The ads on TV are deceptive. They show people dropping pineapple in it with the rind still on but the directions tell you to remove all rinds. What's up with that? Needs more hand washing than they would have you believe too. Yes' it juices well and in the end I guess that's the goal.
We saw the Juicer XL advertisement on television and advertised as self cleaning. However the one I ordered from Walmart appears to be a different model and is not self cleaning. It works pretty good. However, the catch basket does not lock on easily and it is necessary to stop often and dislodge chunks of fruit or vegetable. It works well enough that we will keep it but would have preferred the self cleaning model.
I was so excited when this juicer was delivered, but I returned it after using it only 2 times. I followed direction for cleaning it before use, it was extremely difficult to separate the filter part, since the direction says how easy it is. Not so!! Had the same problem reassembling it. Juicer is very noisy, and it needs to be cleaned after every use, just like any none-self cleaning juicers. I did not see any difference after the self cleaning was done, you pour a cup of water in the juicer after juicing, push the cleaning button, and voila .... the water ends up with your waste, that's what self cleaning means. Same problem again getting the filter unit out, used a toothbrush to clean the filter, supposedly there is a brush that comes with the unit for cleaning it, mine was missing! I gave it one more try the next morning, just 16 ounces of celery juice, the juice was done in less than a minute, but the taking apart, cleaning and reassembling it takes nearly 25 minutes. Who needs that aggravation first thing in the morning, every morning? I returned it to Walmart and bought another brand.
Self-cleaning? Hah! No way..was very disappointed, unit scooted across my countertop, bin that holds the pulp is black so you can't see how much is left in there, my other juicer had a clear bin, does NOT juice kale or spinach, it was just mush in the strainer. Works ok for harder veggies/fruits like celery, carrots, very loud. When trying to use the self-cleaning feature it didnt engage because all parts weren't working together, hard to assemble, not worth the trouble! Returning this and will keep using my Hamilton Beach juicer that I bought from Walmart before! Just thought this Power XL would be better! Nope..
I only used it once!!!! And it stopped working. Im so disappointed I bought it in Sept. and didnt open it till January man I regret it because I cant event exchange it for something else. Im so sad
The advertising looks great-shows quarters of a pineapple, melons with the rind, whole fruits etc. going in easily and that the juicer is actually self cleaning. Complete lies! I had to quarter a small apple to fit it in the shoot and their own recipe book says you must cut, core, de-stem, and peel everything before inserting. About a third of their recipes also tell you to use a blender as well. The “self-cleaning” function was a major reason for purchase, but it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING-entire unit needs to be disassembled and blade/strainer needs significant scrubbing to get particles out of the tiny holes (the toothbrush like cleaner they give you is mostly effective for this)...Bottom line: plan on significant prep work/time and at least 5-10 min clean up after, with parts sitting out to dry after. Personally, I'm returning, if it isn't saving me time or effort and doing something my other appliances can't, it doesn't deserve space on my counter or in my kitchen.
This is a great little juicer. It does the job and does not need tons of room. This juicer was sent in a dirty weird box and looked like it had been tried out. The parts didn't fit together well. Odd. Didn't like it. Sent it back and am supposedly getting a refund. I assume it will come through.
