A WONDERFUL WAY TO SAVE MONEY, ON CABLE BILL, AND RECORD AND COPY DVD'S NO PROBLEMS TO OPERATE
Haven't figured out how to use with smart tv but with help I hope to convert my old VHS tapes to a format I can share
My daughter's player broke and I bought this one. She was born with Down Syndrome, so I was afraid she would not learn to operate a new, different looking, one. But she had no trouble at all!!
I was delivered a head of schedule after receiving a notice that it would be later than schedule, which would not have worked for me. So far it is working like it should be.
Why a VCR/DVD combo? To someone VHS tapes is still better than DVR. It was fairly easy to use and setup, but I found the remote un-intuitive, but then that's what user manual is for (if you read it). Overall a decent purchase, I just hope it lasts a few years.
i bought this to play the v c rs that i have. i could not find just the v c r by itself. i already had two combination players that are broke. a magnavox and a toshiba just like this one. one lasted about a year the other about six months. the dvd part still works on both of them so i let my grandaughter have one to use with her school work. i have a lot of v c r tapes that are still good and i needed something to play them on. its a shame you can still buy vcr tapes but you can't buy just a vcr player.
it looked great, not a scratch or smudge. remote looked worn but worked well. took a LONG time to get it connected because there was no manual. DVD player finally worked but VCR never did. The MAIN reason I ordered it was for tfe VCR player. already have a decent DVD player. the quality of the DVD player was solid and not like the cheap ones today. BUT the VCR not working and that was the deal breaker. seller was easy to work with and I was quickly reimbursed. i REALLY wish it had worked out. I'd recommend the seller as quick to send, easy to work with and quick to reimburse. thanks. if you have a working VCR in the future id LOVE to have it.
This Toshiba DVD/VCR unit, which was re-manufactured, did power up with the power on button, but none of the other functions worked, either from the remote control or from the unit itself. I had to return the unit to Walmart, and I purchased a new unit made by Magnavox, which was a bit more costly, and so far all of its functions are working perfectly.
This it's not a new one but it works ok
Didn't realize it was a used item. They could've at least cleaned it and removed the dust from it. It was in worse condition than they described it.
