Pre-Owned Tracfone TCL Flip 2, 8GB, Black - Prepaid Smartphone (Locked to Tracfone) (Like New)

This phone arrived like a new product. It was clean, wrapped in plastic, and all the parts were there. However, depending on your carrier (I assume), trying to transfer the new phone from the old phone was a five-day, hours and hours, horrible hassle. The reason being, I had forgotten the PIN number made almost two decades prior. Okay...so the next step to confirm my account since the PIN could not be utilized, was giving the last two numbers called from the old phone. My husband rarely uses this phone, as it's for mostly either talking to me, or emergencies. The only numbers he called was my number, but Tracfone kept insisting there was another number. So now that option was gone. They asked my birthplace and pets name, the security questions. These were answered correctly. Yet, Tracfone still refused to transfer the account, minutes and time. The only option left was to take the SIM card out of the old phone--which was inoperable--placing it into the new phone, then call Tracfone to hopefully receive a code. If that worked, then I was instructed to put the new SIM card back into the new phone. Being older with arthritis, it was very difficult to push the SIM card out of the phones, not to mention what a delicate operation it is getting the cards out without damaging them. Finally, the whole transfer process completed, all the new phone info was given to Tracfone, and Voila', The phone came on. If not for the SIM card option, my husband would have had to lose all his minutes and time from the inoperable phone. It was not this difficult to transfer phone minutes in the past. It really was a time-consuming nightmare. Finally, the phone is great.

As stated earlier, the phone was refurbished so the price was $9.98--instead of $29.99. Upon receiving it in the mail, the phone looks AS NEW. Not a single blemish on it and, most importantly, in excellent working condition.

Can do nearly everything an iPhone can, apart from a live map and/or directions. $10 for the physical device, then $10 per month for unlimited talk, text, and 200 MB of data! Plus, whatever you don't use rolls over! I am ecstatic about this purchase, and I urge all who read this to submit their order.

Excellent little flip-phone. It's a basic phone that does what it should do; make and answer calls. Limited texting due to the type of keypad, but that's not why you buy this phone. Makes an excellent phone for the older individual.

I found it difficult to find out how to use the text to enter information. I had to go to the Internet and look at 2 to 4 websites until one of them told me how to enter text such as D, E, or F. Then I had to figure out how to add numerals. Also, had to search how to use the the left, right and other keys. The Quick Start guide was very hard to use because of the very small type (I had to use a magnifying glass). In addition, the pages were not numbered. I never did learn how to set up the Quick Dial button (again I had to go to the Internet and search -unsuccessfully). Hopefully, if I have to make an Emergency call, I can just dial 911.

For what I need it is just fine. I like the flip phone cause it fits in a shirt pocket, and I only plan to use it when I am away from home and need an emergency call. The price was right.

The device is perfectly adequate for making phone calls and text messages. However, I had intended to use this device as an emergency hotspot, and this device was completely incapable of connecting to mobile data even after thoroughly troubleshooting it with tracfone. Not entirely happy with this product.

i purchased this as a back up phone. i have to send my other in for repair. the trac phone flip is a nice looking phone . it does have many features. but!!! if you have ant typing it is difficult to type the letters in the search bar. i was nit able to connect to my network because, it took forever to tupe in the letters. i couldnt gey the dste and time on it. i did call Trac phone Rep. we wete on the phone quite awhile trying to type lsttets in phone. walmsrt! was wonderful! they not only refunde me the fill amount but also! did not have to return the item. as a bonus! I received a $10.00 credit on my next Walmart order. i will keep the phone maybe give it to someone who can work with it. best of luck if you by this phone. it may work for some! it didnt for me.

This phone was completely unusable right out of the box. I can't end calls—not with the end button, not by closing the phone. Even after the other person hangs up, the call stays active. The only way to make another call is to remove and reinsert the battery every single time. Reconditioned or not, it shouldn't ship in this condition.

1st lesson dont use tracfone, these people are incompetent and they cannot activate phones. ordered online but i dont think issue is not being scanned at register bc it didnt come from store, who knows. 2nd, dont try to port your old number, you will only get your old service cancelled immediately, and like me you will be stranded wo a phone. still waiting after 24 hours to activate, but getting messages i cant receive texts so its like the number has been transferred but still not active. two dead phones now. then they tell me i need to call in for 10th time but i dont have a working phone. just keep an active phone until new one is active, dont try to port until you have activated new phone w new number. then maybe you can port old, but i dont think i would do it w tracfone bc same thing could happen. you also need a transfer pin from old carrier which they did not bother to tell me. fyi when i try to use phone and check, it says welcome to straight talk. hopefully i can return, but now i have to buy a new phone w spectrum bc old one wont work anymore.
