Taste is better than the others brands' and the price is comparable or less. Mixes well with milk without having that “chalky” taste and texture is smooth like a milkshake.
Tasted wonderful! My partner and I loved it, Premier Protein was always her go to brand but she couldn't have it anymore due to going plant-based so she was pleasantly surprised to see the brand come out with two different options we could have. Unfortunately the container was incredibly difficult to get open, but that was the only con for us. Upon opening it smelled just like vanilla cake batter! We blended it up and paired it up with Bettergoods vanilla almond milk and it tasted like a vanilla dessert. We would love a birthday cake flavored one!
The shakes made with the Premier Protein Powder Plant Based with the vanilla flavor are really tasty and delicious, the texture is very good and I only add just a little bit of stevia and almond milk. It is the best I have had since I started using protein powder for my shakes.
This has a wonderful taste! I only give it 4 stars because I don't feel fuller. I use these as a meal replacement until lunch and their premier 30g premade shakes keep me more satisfied until lunch. I guess because I'm losing 5 grams of protein? But dairy can be hard on my stomach so I guess this will be it for now. Thanks Premier!
I'm a big fan of the Premier brand and most of their shakes. These products are among the highest in protein and still the lowest in carbs. Usually they don't have that same chalky taste as other proteins do and they mix well. While the plant-based protein boasts the same high protein and low carb content, it unfortunately does not have the same great flavor and does have a chalky texture. The flavor is a bit difficult to overcome when blending with fruit. It's not terrible; still beats other brands for value, but not my favorite.
Taste is much better than most protein powders. I use almond milk, instead of water. I also add a tablespoon of peanut butter, to give it a chocolate peanut butter flavor and add ice. I then blend it all together in my Magic Bullet to make a delicious, thick protein shake. It's like a milkshake, only healthy. It's great for in between meals.
This product is pretty awful. I have no complaints about the taste of the drink. However, getting it to dissolve into liquid is a nightmare. Equally as awful is cleaning cups used for the protein drink. I've tried handwashing and dishwashing the cups and there is still a residue that is dried on.
Apparently these are on clearance at the store, but if you buy them online(delivering from a store) it's at regular price. When I called CS, they refused to do a price adjustment cos “they can't adjust prices for online products” even though it was sold and shipped by Walmart.
This is my first time trying plant based protein powder and also my last. The powder is comparable to powdered sugar but with a lighter consistency, it floofs out of the can when you go to scoop it. The flavor and mouth feel is comparable to what I imagine powdered cardboard would be like. I tried to force it down but its not happening, its too awful. This is going in the garbage when I get home from work and I'll stick with the trusty whey protein in the future.
I love most of the flavors of the Premier Shakes however, I hate having to take lactaid pills every time I drink them. A friend recommended the plant protein. It was just awful. I'm sorry… I just couldn't handle it. I tried…. It wouldn't blend well, it was a sandy/gritty texture in your mouth. I dumped the drink in the sink. I now have an open container of this nasty stuff that WalMart probably will not take back because it appears a lot has been used. That is just the way it comes. Only one scoop was used. Waste of money.
