Knitting and using a single crochet makes the stripes and lovely patterns appear. I made a blanket using a double crochet and the pattern that came out looked more like a waterfall with cherry blossoms or flowers. It’s hard to see in the picture because the rust color looks like knots but irl it’s a really pretty color

I love Premier Bloom yarns and have purchased it many times in different colors. I've started crocheting a scarf and a lap blanket. The color is very pretty. I've got to buy a few more skeins to finish my projects. I just got 2 skeins to see if I like the color. It would be nice to get a skein without tied knots; in 7 oz. of yarn, it shouldn't have any. I love the softness of the yarn; it crochets up well. I'm using a L (8mm) for the scarf and M (9mm) for the blanket.

Bloom yarn is THE BEST! It's very versatile but right now I've been using it for crochet messy bun beanies - matching for mommy and a full baby hat. One skein does a mommy hat and a newborn baby hat. On the tiny baby hat knitting loom, this yarn actually comes out in wide color stripes. They're beautiful! I use all the colors Walmart carries but snapdragon is my favorite.

I have not yet been able to use this yarn because I ordered three skeins and they were only able to deliver 2. I was very upset to learn the order for the remaining two was cancelled and have to postpone the project I plan to make until I can receive the other two skeins.

Its a good yarn maybe not as soft as I'm used to working but its still a good quality yarn and it's beautiful. I think after a delicate wash with softer it'll be a little softer. Its also very big so you get your money's worth. Definitely get it you'll love it.

Love this yarn. Is easy to work with, so many colors in a skein. Have made many blankets and scarves to donate using this yarn over the years. As it is a 5, works up fast. I find it easier to work with being a heavier yarn The smaller yarns take to long to work up for me now days.

Beautiful self striping yarn perfect for the project I was working on. I doubled it for a more blanket like weight. Washability was important as well. This is my second go around with this yarn and I highly recommend it!

Great strength, durability, and softness. This yarn works up fast with 6-8mm hook, and makes beautiful blankets! I will warn you ahead...if you put it in the dryer, IT WILL PILL UP! I made that mistake, but now I machine wash, and place over a towel rack, blanket rack, etc to dry. It dries really fast- (3-4 hours indoors; probably less outdoors on a line in the sun). I'm a fan of most of premier yarns, and I learned to crochet with the "bloom" variety due to availability and price. I was always pleasantly surprised by my final results even after having to "frog" many times. This is perfect for a beginner, and in the hands of crochet masters, endless beautiful handmade items are a possibility...and it won't cost you $100 to make a blanket!

I like this yarn. I bought 5 skeins. The only problem was one skein had at least 7 knots in it. That is unacceptable. This called bloom yarn because the colors make a flower pattern if you crochet it as directed. I just liked the colors and did not make the flowers.

These skeins of yarn had 3-4 places where yarn was broken and knotted together and that's more breaks than what is acceptable for a 210 yd skein. Usually Premier yarns are better quality. It was consistent throughout the Chunky Bloom yarn. When this project is finished I'll be hesitant to buy this yarn.
