Perfect for baby chicks

lrs November 20, 2015

We have this coop inside our larger coop to keep the chicks separated from the large hens. They seem very happy to be outside and getting to know the other girls. It is pretty small, I wouldn't use it for full grown birds. Probably ok for a bunny or turtle.

Great Rabbit Hutch

farmgirlc0811 May 12, 2014

We love this hutch. We have two small rabbits in it currently and they have plenty of space to romp and play. The interior is great for staying out of the rain and providing shade and the pen area spacious enough for them to run back and forth. It is very lightweight but sturdy and easy to move. My only fear is that if it is not on level ground so the bunnies could potentially sneak out so we just make sure the ground is level and there are not any gaps where we place it.

Fast ,Easy and very nice looking

Carolina Girl May 5, 2010

I bought 4 of these and they are nice , Perfect for breeding trio or quad of bantam, pr to trio of medium size birds. I have 12 started bantam chicks in 1 ,and its perfect . I was worried about putting them together because I have hand tremors with pain, but they were a snap. I would like to see an add on for larger longer run area ,or perhaps just larger size . I like this product large door openings .

Turtle Hutch

Libby August 13, 2012

Instead of using it for a rabbit, we are using it for a box turtle. It is perfect for her enclosure! Lots of room to roam and a hiding place as well. It also looks like our own home, so we have had many comments of it in the garden! My husband assembled in 10 minutes with only a screwdriver. Price was worth it!

Very Nice Bantam Chicken Starter

K-Teacher February 15, 2012

I communicated with Hayneedle's customer service representative ~ DaShante... who answered all of my question very timely upon this product. This product will house 2 Bantam hens.. Product was received within 24hrs of shipping... which was very nice.. Especially since I reside in Rural West Virginia... Furthermore, cost of shipping was very cost effective too!! I really liked the design of this unit.. Ease of assemble... anyone should be able to assemble this product in no time.. Also, what really caught my attention, is the ability now for me to EXPAND this unit by matching the present housing box design, and attaching to it another housing unit..hence doubling the interior housing portion.. I will add 1/2 square cage wiring to the bottom to prevent anything from trying to dig under to enter this pen.. Again, very nice unit that a person can add to, to expand, etc.. I had checked the major lumber yards here in West Virginia(where lumber is not expensive) and I could not even purchase the raw materials locally to build this unit at the cost offered to me by Hayneedle!!

2nd Purchase of Same Unit

Tom June 12, 2012

This is my 2nd Purchase of this very same unit this year... The first unit, worked out so well, that I ordered a 2nd one for my Cochin Bantam Hens... I sat both of these units side-by-side on top of a secure run that I made... on the back side portion of both of these units, I built them in so they could be attached... giving my Cochin Bantam hens more space... This unit is very easy to assemble, instructions of very clear, all pieces and parts arrived in the kit... Order was received within 24hrs after placed... and I live in Rural West Virginia.. GOOD DEAL!!

Great cage!

strong lady September 13, 2012

I have 2. I love them. They were super easy to put together (after the first one it only took me about 20 minutes to put the whole thing together) I can actually reach everywhere in the cage to clean (a problem with their last cages) they are light enough that i can move them myself but heavy enough the rabbit won't lift it up (yes,I've seen one do that w/other cages...houdini rabbit) the heart latch looks like it would need to be supplemented but after seeing in person i don't think it does unless you have a lot of racoons around i don't think anything else would get it open ok, the negatives: it doesn't offer any protection from predaors since the bottom is open but we solved that by making a stand that has a wire bottom for the cage to go on at night where it will be secure and just using this as a ""daypen"" where they can eat grass while we are there to make sure they are ok. Oh, and to be expected for this price, the wood is kinda thin, so rabbits chew through it quickly, just make sure they have something better to munch on (ours like mulberry branches) the wire latch needs another stronger latch (right now we are just using a couple clothespins so it doesn't get nosed open but will be changing to something else soon) overall i would totally recommend for small rabbits. great price. plus its adorable...my neighbor even complemented on them :o)

Convenient and safe

Pam May 17, 2015

This little hutch is just the right size for my dwarf rabbit to get some fresh air. It is well-made and sturdy, yet easy for me to move around. It was also easy to assemble. I recommend this for 1-2 small rabbits to enjoy supervised outdoor time.

It's on the small side...

Dave January 21, 2012

Well, the price was right. But for that, it's definitely lightweight and not safe against predators. But if you have a large predator proof run, barn or garage, it will work for a few baby chicks or bantams. I was hoping to also use it as a time out/jail for my alpha hen who I know is not going to be accepting of my babies. But she's a Jersey Giant and there's no way she'll fit in this thing.

Miniature

Gymnast mom July 12, 2012

Don't be lured by the 53"" length in the description. That includes at least 5"" for each handle so you are truly only getting 43"" of space including the run. This cage is EXTREMELY small and the rabbits in the picture must be babies because there is no way that three adult rabbits could fit into the enclosure. I knew the Hutch was small, but it really is miniature.
