PrepSolutions 12 Slice Apple Slicer

I really like this apple slicer/corer. This apple slicer is nice and sharp. It cuts the apple into smaller slices then my old slicer. I like that for my younger grandsons. I also like that it has the bottom cover on it to help push the apple the rest of the way through without cutting your fingers. The bottom cover is why I gave it four stars. It seems a little flimsy, like it might break off if you try to use it to help push the apple all the way before you have the apple down in the slicer far enough.

The directions could be more thorough - I had to look it up online on how to use this thing. When I did figure it out, I was very impressed ! I love this thing! It makes it so much easier to splice apples, barely any clean up, and in just a few seconds - you’re done! Amazing how it cuts the core like a barrel and even cuts the inners where the seeds start so it’s ready to serve.

I bought one last year and misplaced it so I bought another one for me and one for my Great Granddaughter's home because she loves apples but they are so big for her to bite. It is so perfect. It cuts right through almost to the end then you close it and it finishes cutting it all the way through. The slices are small enough to use for making pies as well. Just perfect. I couldn't be more pleased with this product.

I start the cutting with shield to the side. When almost through I place the shield under the apple to complete the cutting. 2 steps, save almost 20.00, works for me. I don't know why another comment says they're throwing it away????

Love that it slices into 12! It’s very sharp and I love that it has a cover so that I can safely keep it in my miscellaneous drawer. Also great that the cover is attached so that I don’t lose it.

If you don’t want to cut up your apples you have to have one of these! It works perfectly every time. I have bought 3 so far because mine keep disappearing! Everyone loves it so much they take mine! They stay sharp and do the job quickly and efficiently.

This does exactly what it says. It’s top rack dishwasher safe. I typically hand wash it right after use and dry it off. It’s so easy to use and cuts apples precisely. This is the best $10 I’ve spent in a while. I’ve had it almost a month and it shows no sign of blade dullness, rust or plastic breakage. I’ll probably continue to hand wash it and dry it to prevent rust. I’ll probably buy a second one to have as a backup … just in case.😁

I am so glad I bought this apple slicer! What an improvement over my old one. The handles make it very easy to push down into the apple. I like that it makes more slices than some of them do. A helpful bonus is that it comes with an attached thing that you use to easily push out the slices with. Very much worth it!

I have used similar apple corers before but this one was impossible for me. Apparently the blade is insufficiently sharp, it would not go through a small apple even when I applied excessive force. Tossed it in the trashcan.
