I just love this cheese! Walmart is one of the few that carry it and I am so glad that they do. Please continue to carry this cheese as it is my favorite.
The quality and consistency of this swiss cheese each time have been excellent .. it's my go to swiss cheese in terms of natural'ness and nutrients ..
It's impossible to find Emmental cheese anywhere and shipping makes it impossible to afford. I was shocked to find it in Walmart at the deli counter. It's a family favoriite.
I will not eat any other cheese if I can help it. No American made cheese I've tried so far tastes this good. This is higher priced because it's imported, but I feel the price is worth it for now.
Closest To imported Swiss that has the bite of swiss. I get it all the time. Very hard to find imported swiss. I was near philly. Where it could be Found everywhere. . Not so much Pittsburgh area. The bad review of not melting in French onion soup. If not mistaken mozzarella cheese was used in that soups.
I love President Imported Emmental Swiss Cheese. I used to live in New Jersey and they would only sell this Swiss cheese on special occasions. I am happy to know that in Ocala, Florida I can buy it any time I want. It has a great taste that when you eat one slice you want more.
I like this cheese to snack on, make cheeseburgers and make ham and cheese sandwiches. It does not melt well for cheese burgers so put the cheese on the burger a bit sooner than you would with most of the so called cheeses sold in the US. The 4 stars is simply that I use curbside pickup due to disability and since entering the store can be very dangerous (I have been knocked down or pushed a number of times in the stores. ) The cheese is often not freshly sliced and there is no option to specify thickness and the slices are often to thin. I am from western PA where the Amish make very good cheese and a local rural meat market sells a very similar cheese made locally which is always fresh and while a bit higher priced and less convenient, I am moving away from Walmart other than for staples
This is a good Swiss cheese. It has the consistency and flavor of a quality Swiss cheese. The other Swiss cheeses that I have tried online at Walmart are too mild in flavor. The only better Swiss cheese that I have tasted is Finlandia, which I used to get at Price Chopper. Recommended.
The deli sliced it so thick no one in my family will eat it and they gave us a 1” end piece chunk. You can’t use this for sandwiches. They should allow you to choose a slicing thickness when you order.
I don't know what they did to this Swiss cheese. it had no taste to it and when you chewed it you thought that you were chewing rubber. it didn't even melt right. I don't know what's going on but they better fix it. swiss cheese is supposed to be a good tasty cheese and according to how many holes it has it's supposed to have a sharpness to it. this had many holes but it still had no taste and it was rubbery I could have bounced it off the floor.
