Presto Pressure Canner and Cooker, 23 qt, Silver

I bought this tall Presto because I cannot pressure cook 2 quart jars in my 16 quart. It's too short. Just add 20% more time to the original 1 quart =18 minutes for things like soup that has meat and veggies. I usually pre cook the meal before pressure canning it. Note: USDA and AI do not recommend pressure cooking in 2 quart jars but people did it reliably in the old days. I like to share. If sharing with a family best to give them a 2 quart jar. I have never done 2 quart jars. I'm kind of new to canning, but I have canned a lot of meals with a 99 percent plus success rate. Better wuipe the lids on the jar with s paper towel or rage dabbed in vinegar before you can or you won't have success. Anything on the lid or jar rim compromises the seal. Not liable if you try this. Just telling you what I am going to do so if shtf I can help other people besides just me. Did I mention this cooker is a beautiful work of functional art and a durable good that will last you forever with the right care? Well, it is.

This aluminum canner is AMAZING! I had an old, heavy o e that took twice as long to process beans. This is the fastest and most efficient was to pressure can green beans! Thanks Presto!

Halleluiah! An affordable solution to my home canning quandary! It's EASY to use with simple assembly even I could understand. I was looking at the competition, which frankly is just too danged expensive for me. This was a larger capacity that the one I was looking at - but a good compromise for the value.

pretty easy to use and instruction book is helpful still learning to adjust temp on stove to keep pressure steady. more guidance on that would be great
