I grew up in Germany, the daughter of a Baker and Pastry Chef and used to bake my own "Laugenbroetchen" (the German name for Pretzel Buns) here in the US. The "Pretzilla Soft Pretzel Burger Buns" are the most similar buns available here in the states ( and so much less work and time!)
I don't remember what restaurant it was that used to serve hamburgers on pretzel rolls, but I remember liking them. These aren't quite the same, but I still prefer them to regular hamburger buns. They've got a better flavor and it seems a little less mundane than just a bun. I warm them for just a few seconds (just enough to feel the warmth and make them a little software) before serving. It's definitely elevated my cheeseburger game. They're also excellent for hot sandwiches. Turkey, bacon and baby Swiss. Warmed up. Seaweed chips and spinach leaves. Brown mustard - any deli sandwich combination that is often served hot. I say, "deli sandwich combination" because I'm not sure these would be good for tuna melts or grilled cheese, even though those are sandwiches served warm or hot. Two things to be aware of - they seem to get moldy more quickly than bread when it's hot outside (I store mine in the fridge after opening) and when they get stale, the thicker nature of the bread makes them hard to eat. When normal bread goes stales, you can toast it as long as it's not too far gone. I'm not sure that would work these. Maybe cutting them in half (like you would to make them into a hamburger bun) and skillet-toasting them lightly. I'll have to try it. If you're going the turkey club route, I recommend this slices/shaved. Bunches up, not laid flat. Alternate: turkey, Swiss, turkey, bacon, turkey. it helps prevent the turkey from seem like a slab. But really, cheeseburgers on these pretzel buns are what got me hooked.
I would give these buns 10 stars if I could. They are AMAZING!!! So tasty and fresh even after they've been frozen. They are some of the best hamburger buns I've ever had. I wish our local store still carried them. I had to order a case and could only get the jalepeno, but those are excellent, too. Please keep carrying these amazing, tasty, and healthy rolls!!
Assembly by Angi- nice man, professional except 2 hours late. He did a good job. When finished I asked him to move it over a couple inches and the chair arm fell off because it isn't a sturdy chair. It never was worth over $500. But in clearance its good for an emergency replacement. The upholstery and padding isn't quality. It will be ok while we look for another one.
I tried these pretzel rolls and now I can't go back to regular rolls or bread. I keep them on hand just like a loaf of bread. Everything tastes so much better when I use these delicious pretzel rolls. It's a bonus that they stay fresher longer than regular rolls or breads. It's a must have.
Pretzilla Soft Pretzel Burger Buns come in a 12.8 oz package with four shelf‑stable buns that offer a soft pretzel texture and rich, slightly salty flavor. These buns are designed to elevate burgers, sandwiches, and sliders with a chewy exterior and tender interior that holds up well to hearty fillings. Their pretzel‑style crust adds a distinctive touch to meals, pairing nicely with grilled meats, cheese, and savory toppings. Because they're shelf‑stable, these buns are convenient to keep on hand for quick meal prep without needing refrigeration until after opening. The 4‑count size works well for family dinners, cookouts, or casual gatherings where flavorful bread can enhance the overall experience. They can also be warmed briefly before serving to bring out extra softness and aroma. Overall, Pretzilla Soft Pretzel Burger Buns offer a tasty, versatile bread option that pairs classic pretzel appeal with the convenience of easy storage and everyday use.
"delicious mouth feels" comes to my mind when I tried these Pretzilla Soft Pretzel Burger Buns, Non-GMO, 12.8 oz, Shelf-stable, 4 Count, with an impossible burger, gouda cheese and it was perfect, the price could come down a dollar to justify the purchase. otherwise it's a tasty item.
Tasty and perfect for a burger or sandwich. The bread holds together well and has a good flavor. The texture when heated is soft and firm. They even taste good when heated and dipped in honey mustard like a pretzel. They are much better than the Hawaiian style pretzel buns, which are too sweet.
These buns are imposters. They look like pretzels but they don't taste like them at all. The biggest problem is that they are SWEET. Not hearty like a real pretzel. It didn't help that my two packs arrived with mold on the bottom which I only saw after opening.
Bought these June 8th they don't expire till the 19th today June 15th opened one of them to make a sandwich freshly opened never been opened till today and all four buns had mold on them and was never opened at all that's disgusting need to do better of restocking and checking the food to make sure there is no mold on the food and if there is mold need tot ale it off the shelf and throw it away cause that's disgusting
