Everything so far is perfect my bird likes it I like an he loves the swing that comes with the cage good price strong cage just what I wanted very happy
After looking on most popular shopping website, I ordered 6 cages. I did not receive products as advertised. Returned those and found hayneedle. Best thing that could have happened as product arrived on specified day, as advertised, no damages, and at best price!!!!!!! Thanks hayneedle!
I agree with the other reviews. I am a long time bird owner and understand the difference between a practical cage and a piece of furniture to enhance the home. I have two of these cages and couldn't be more pleased. They are simple, well constructed and user friendly to both my parrots and their companion. I did my research and made the right choice.
Looks just like the one we are replacing so our bird will not freak out.
Would order again from hay needle is selling what I need.
nice cage -well made
This is a good, very basic and sturdy parrot cage without any frills or bells and whistles, you can add these in and also provide other areas for your bird to navigate to so he isn't confined to one place non-stop. This cage is easy to clean and maintain, and isn't too heavy to pick up and locate to other areas. I had this same one a long time in a gold tone, and felt that tone blended better with my apartment colors but this silver tone is clean and not too shiny looking, having an almost ""buffed"" type look in the finish, called the ""Chrome Finish."" It's a good, solid starter-cage, sleeping cage or place to provide security and privacy for your bird in cases where you don't want to leave him out unsupervised for lengths of time, but not really roomy enough for a bird who is in his cage for the most part, only coming out to play for specific sessions. This cage is really for a bird who is out in another area of his own mostly, and only needs to go inside the cage for shorter spans of time, or at night to sleep. It's the best bet for the money, space and practicality.
Great for my African Grey to travel in. I had the same cage years ago for an Amazon parrot. The only difference is now there is no handle on the top making it a lot harder to carry. Is it too much expense to add a handle??
The tray at the bottom of the cage is cheaply made and not high enough to keep the gravel inside. The grille at the bottom is thin and bends easily. The bars securing the feeding dishes are hard to move - have to use a screw drive too push them up!
