I know some people have complained about poor assembly instructions and some pieces being bent but I had neither issue. Mine was well packed with bubble paper between every level and the box had reinforced corners. The pieces aren't labelled but it is pretty easy to tell what is what and I took about 15 min to sort and label the parts while I inspected them. I thought the instructions were very easy to follow (maybe they have been improved). I put it together myself and had no issues. It took about an hour to put it together but I was being very careful. The only hard part was putting on the top because you have to align everything and and match up a lot of wires and holes. The top sags a tiny bit in the center but it is not a big deal at all to me. Also the rails have been holding the bottom tray just fine. I know some people have had issues but I've been lucky. The cage is very sturdy and works great for my parakeets. You will need more perches but that's an easy fix. The cage is huge and there is a lot of room to fly around. The spacing of the bars and spring doors means this is really made for smaller birds but I think it would work for larger ones if the doors are secured. I've seen this cage advertised for 2x the price by national pet stores. This isn't a cheaply built cage. I am very pleased.
I absolutely love this cage for my Budgies! Great for any small birds, I wouldn't put anything larger than a Quaker or a Conure as the bars are gauged for small birds. They wouldn't be strong enough to hold up against the beak of a large Parrot or a Macaw and would end up hurting themselves at some point. I have been wanting to get a larger cage for a while now and with the very recent addition of our 4th bird their 30" Prevue Flight Cage was past the point of being too small with them not being able to be out much anymore as my kids are home all the time now doing the "Distance Learning". Their cage free times were always the school hours when I didn't have to worry about someone else being around and possibly forgetting they were out and opening the back door or something and forgetting to close it as boys tend to do from time to time. I have been looking for a while but there were just so many different cages, too many, to have to go through reading info, comparing specs, prices, stores, etc. Once I decided on this cage then I had to decide on a store, I ended up going with Walmart as they have the best price anywhere for this cage right now and free shipping. I checked the sites others mentioned in reviews and they were all higher. Its hard to beat Walmart sometimes, not even Amazon was able to beat them on the price. It was easy to assemble, it does recommend 2 people because it's so big, my teen daughter and I were able to handle it just fine. All she did was help keep it steady from the other side as I followed the directions and put it together. I was a bit worried about the instructions after reading some of these reviews before it got here, but they were not difficult at all. Not sure why some people had such a hard time. If you have ever bought anything, literally anything that needed assembly before and put it together yourself then you won't have issues, even if not you still shouldn't have any. It does help to have someone else to help hold things where you want them but its not necessary for most people. It didn't even take 30mins with the 2 of us. One person can probably get it done in 45. I love how easily the cage moves on the wheels! Makes cleaning easier. I haven't had any issues with the tray not fitting, or it getting warped in the sun like someone else did that obviously didn't read the warnings/advisories area because they tell you in nice big print to NOT leave the tray exposed to the sun because it WILL warp! Anyway, I personally am extremely happy with this cage, it's sturdy, looks nice, Their old cage is white and I never realized how much it took away from the birds, their colors really pop against the black, the focus pulled to the birds and not the bars. On top of everything else the price for the size compared to other cages is a good deal, and my birds love it! They are all over the place, I was afraid they would just stay in the top half all the time and not utilize all of the space but they are.
This cage is gigantic, and comes with perches and feed/water dishes. The instructions say it's better for two people to put it together, but I managed by myself - with the help of a few twist ties. I have combined all of my birds in this cage, and they love having the flight space.
Easy to assemble Big enough to host 33 of my parakeets, 4 nesting boxes and toys for their play. I custom built a cage few years ago but now it was small for the needs of our "too many" birds.
the cage is awesome. I just wish the bars were a bit stronger. my African Grey is literally removing some on the bottom of the cage. maybe meant for a smaller dirt or animal.
GOT it through ship to store. It was in great shape when I recieved it. The plans where ok however the parts were not labled. The cage is strong and well made. My birds love the space . I can recomend this cage and walmart ship to store. I was afraid to ship it to my house because it might be beat up by the time it got there.
The box was pretty trashed when it arrived but the contents were all there and not damaged at all. Was very easy to put together. I'm housing four pigeons in it and they have more than enough room. I'm very happy that I chose this cage.
Cage is awesome, but food dishes came broken. I reached out to the manufacturer, sent proof of purchase, and pictures of the dishes and I haven't heard anything back. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Nice product came in good condition except for a few in significant problems. The hard part was putting it together. Not a 1 person job by any means.
Many areas where we had to nick off sharp areas in the metal, large doors flimsy, and one severely damaged in shipping. Many bent areas for to shipping or was that due to producing?
