Immensely surprised when I received this carrying case. It was bigger than what I thought but not too big. The size is exactly what I've been looking for. Product is very sell made and sturdy for my birds. I've brought other cases which weren't worth the money but this one definitely is.

Pros: Open wire top allows plenty of sunshine for your bird. Comes with a perch for a small [budgie/lovebird] to medium parrot Has carrying strap The size dimensions can't be beat--Can easily support two cockatiels. Cons: Must supply own food and water dishes Bottom could be heavier plastic Yellow fasteners don't seem as sturdy as they could be--support bottom when you can. I bought this travel cage for travel, and so that my mother [who has physical difficulties] could move my cockatiel from her immense home cage into the living room with her for a few hours. I bought the travel cage for it's size and openness, and it delivers on all accounts. It's simply the largest way to carry a cockatiel so that the birds can move around and not be cramped. It could easily carry 3 budgies or 5 finches. My only issue with travel cage is that the yellow fasteners don't seem as sturdy as they could be and that concerns me. I think when I take my bird places I will put the travel cage in a larger canvas bag to ensure the bottom doesn't fall off. It hasn't done so, but it DOES concern me. I wish the yellow snaps felt a little sturdier when they closed the cage top to the bottom. For right now, it does suit my purposes beautifully as a sort of mini-cage [I even have a ladder in it and food and water dishes] I can move from room to room for short periods of time. I can keep her gigantic cage in one dedicated room, and use her stand alone perch and this cage as go-between stations.

The shoulder strap is fine but a sturdy handle would be very helpful. However, the overall product suits my needs for transporting or temporarily housing my critters during cage cleanings.
