I love the little bit of spicy taste! I eat low carb and healthy so this is such a flavorful snack or meal. I put a little bit of Grey Poupon or spicy or yellow Mustard and a slice of cheese and roll it up to eat as a snack with a few pickles or pickled okra or olives and it's very scrumptious and satisfying! 😁
This Cajun turkey has just enough seasoning to set it apart from plain turkey. I ordered for home delivery, as I do all my groceries, and was glad to see that it was sliced thin but didn't shred. We use lunchmeat not only for sandwiches but roll ups around cheese and in salads. Quality shows and the Prima Della brand is great. Definitely worth trying.
I always buy my cold cuts at Walmarts' deli because take the time to place them neatly and evenly before placing them in the ziploc baggie. they also change their gloves for every customer. How cool is that? 😊 😊 Thank you again Walmart, it doesn't go unnoticed 👍 👍
I try to never run out of this particular turkey. My grandchildren will eat it right out of bag. It's great on sandwiches hot or cold, salads, on my charcuterie boards, or just a good source of protein for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My fast favorite is with colby or provolone cheese on rosemary crackers with green olives!!!!
💕 I love this one because as it gets harder and harder to afford proteins or meat this one is very versatile. It's carved so it's thick enough to go with mashed potatoes and gravy. It's also thin enough to make a great sandwich. When I think I would like a little more cajun spice. I think no because just having that hint of spice is one of the components that makes it versatile because some people don't like spice and this won't disagree with their palate. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ However the last time I bought it Walmart substituted deli sliced meats from Prima Della. Which is not what I wanted and it seems Walmart May no longer be carrying this product.
This is one of the better deli meats I've picked up. The Cajun flavor is there but it's not overpowering, just gives it a little kick compared to regular turkey. The slices are good quality too, not slimy or falling apart like some cheaper stuff. I've been using it mostly for sandwiches and it actually makes them taste a lot better without needing a bunch of extras. Even just bread, cheese, and this is enough.
This turkey is great. However it's too hard for employees to slice it correctly apparently. The product I got was clearly cut at the wrong angle off of the whole piece of turkey. And every slice they gave me has a THICK side and a side that's basically shaved. How is that an acceptable product to give to a customer? And for almost $11 a pound???!
Seasoning is way too overpowering. I kept the package in cheese drawer in fridge, every time I opened fridge doors you could smell it. Couldn't taste the turkey, only the Cajun seasoning. I didn't care for the taste. Ended up throwing half of it away.
Walmart pick up order sent me a text and asked if I would accept this as a substitution to the sun-dried tomato turkey breast that I had ordered initially. I selected yes I would accept this substitution. Although upon getting home and reviewing my order, I'm seeing I indeed did not receive the Cajun turkey breast or any turkey breast at that matter.!
I did not order the cajun turkey breast on the order i placed on May 19. I ordered oven roasted chicken breast. But, as with every order I have placed for the chicken breast, I always receive turkey (cajun or oven roasted). If you don't have an item on my order, DO NOT SUBSTITUTE. Further, if this happens again, I will consider shopping elsewhere.
