I have seen somewhere how off the bone ham is prepared. They literally remove the bone and wrap together the meat . Then they cook it. I really believe that this is probably a little less processed meat. I enjoy making Muffuletta sandwiches with this ham. I also add hard salami, provolone cheese, Swiss cheese, and Boscoli olive salad on Ciabatta bread . The recipe is on the side of the jar of Boscoli Italian olive salad.
After trying Prima Della deli ham I will have a hard time going back to Boars Head for deli meat. The Prima Della fall of the bone ham is far superior to other deli meat options available from local supermarkets. Give it a try, you’ll be amazed how good it tastes.
love the taste. great on sandwich with copper cheese and mayo. hellmans of course. I would like to say the only issue would be there should be an option of how thick you want your meat cut. there is the option for how much in pounds. having the thickness would be nice. Thank you
I just made a simple wrap for lunch using a couple of slices of this ham with a tortilla, Swiss cheese, and lettuce. It's simple and yet tasty and high on protein. No need to go out for an expensive lunch, just make it yourself. It's quick and easy! Perhaps tomorrow I'll take some lettuce and make a salad with a slice of ham chopped up and some cheddar cheese and a sliced hard-boiled egg.
For some reason, whenever I order meat from the deli, I get cuts from the tail in. I only got a half a pound of this, but it had to be the last inch left on the piece of ham they were cutting on. Sometimes I’d like to get some middle cuts from the deli even though they aren’t looking at me face-to-face. I love the flavor of this ham, and I am a faithful Walmart shopper. Wow I wish I had taken a picture before I diced it up to feed my kitties.
This deli item is "hit or miss". Due to unpredictable quality I tend to order in small quantities %26 hope for the best. More than 1 order received has been primarily inedible fat %26 had to be tossed. Another order was foul smelling %26 also got tossed. Another order was charged to my account but did not arrive at all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for today's delivery.
I love the product but I’m disabled and use grocery delivery almost all the time. When you order deli meat there is no way to let them know how you would liked it sliced. The last time my ham and cheese loaf was almost shaved and it’s definitely not good sliced that way. Truly disappointing, knowing I think it could be an easy fix if someone would take the time to work on that.
TERRIBLE! This ham had more fat in it than any other brand I've ever purchased. About half of the ham I received was fat, inedible fat. Besides the fat I had to cut off to make it edible, the rest of the ham had enough fat in it to taste the fat. It tasted like fat, not "off the bone" ham. What a waste of money! Never again will I buy this brand.
I ordered 1/2 lb of sliced ham for lunches. I was never given the opportunity to select thickness, or really anything past weight. What showed up was 1/2 a pound of ham sliced into 4 pieces. Too thick for sandwiches, too thin to cook with. It was a mess. No one liked the taste and it made the sandwiches look awful and gave a worse texture.
It’s not the product, whoever cut the lunch meat in the deli had to have set the slicer on a large setting. I got 5 slices of deli meat to make a pound. Normal lunch meat slices for sandwiches are suppose to be at a 2. This was clearly cut way bigger to save time. If I wanted breakfast cut ham I wouldn’t have bought it in the deli.
