The best hard salami I've ever had! Super fresh and great flavor. I bought this on a whim. I remember eating the packaged Oscar Meyer brand many years ago and I was in the mood for something other than turkey or ham. I got this and it is. Ow my favorite sandwich meat!
I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to come on here to review this. I've been ordering this same stuff to make Italian subs for years, and I have never in my life had such flawlessly evenly cut, thinly sliced, and nicely packaged up deli meat in my life. whoever you guys got working the deli really has pride in what they do and I have to respect the effort put in, because I definitely noticed. y'all should be proud
It's always cut pretty thick which is fine. Nothing is perfect. This week, the edges were oxidized and brown color which means it might be fine but it might not. I threw it out and can't risk getting sick. I should have taken a picture but just tossed it.
How do your order 1 or 2 pounds of meat and they give you a quarter of pound. Online or delivery. Then they cut it so thin you can pull it apart. Walmart needs to do what ever other store does and let you pick your slice number , the people picking the order need to get the right amount if I order 1-2 pounds don't give me a quarter of a pound because it defeats the purpose. I tip very well so if the people don't want to do the order just don't take the order.
Whoever cut the meat in the deli cut meat that had been spoiled, or was about to spoil. I didn't take a picture of it because I just threw it away but about a quarter of the meat that I ordered was gray and it stunk. I live about 15 miles away so I just threw it away. I won't order meat from the deli again.
I normally order deli meat, pepperoni regularly. This particular order, when I went to eat the pepperoni it was extremely chewy. I decided to cut it into smaller pieces to facilitate eating. That's when I noticed…there was plastic from the outer wrapping still on the pepperoni! I have been eating plastic….
The salami taste fine but it is cut too thick from the deli. You can't even bite through when using in a deli sandwich. The deli's have a notice on the front of the deli meat/cheese window which gives you options for the thickness from 1-5, meaning 1 is the thinnest and 5 is the thickest. Sure wish you could add this option to your on line ordering so you can request the thickness you desire when purchasing on line. It's very disappointing when it is always too thick - add the option to your on line ordering and problem solved! Please take my suggestion seriously. Thank you.
I ordered a lb and received .3 lbs. What good is .3 lbs of anything? And, it was spoiled. Seem like I was given the last they had with no regard to if the product was still good and the amount they had left. I guess they just wanted to get rid of it.
Please explain to whomever cut the deli salami that you need to take off the plastic film on it because once you have sliced it it is very difficult to get that off of each individual slice. I am now having to take it off of each one and this is a inconvenience.
I am so sick of Walmart cutting the salami so thick for delivery orders. just because we aren't there doesn't mean they shouldn't be cut at a REASONABLE thickness. it's too thick for daily lunch and especially for party trays. I don't see any reason to cut it this thick
