Compared to other processed sliced turkey, this one is absolutely the best. it almost has that "after thanksgiving day" turkey texture, *almost*...but has a real turkey taste without heavy salt like the others. Always tastes fresh and delicious, I use it in just a plain turkey sandwich or a loaded sandwich, wraps, salads or just a protein booster.
Finally, a turkey breast that I can eat without being disgusted that it's super salty. I don't know why, but ever since I started drinking a lot of water there's many foods that are too salty to me and one of them is lunchmeat. I only like to eat turkey because it's one of the healthier options and many of them I waste due to the sodium count. This low sodium option is the cream of the crop for me. It's absolutely delicious and sometimes I just just eat it plain. There's no salt getting in your way at all.
This is really close to Boar's Head deli turkey. I usually order this when I get a grocery delivery. Since the closest walmart to me is a little bit of a food desert except for frozen and non-perishables I was glad to see there's another WM a little further away that has plenty of produce /meat and other items that will still deliver to my area. The delivery people are on time and very nice. The shoppers really try to get the stuff and follow the substitutions. Anyway back to the turkey, it is pretty good and it's fresh enough; it did not go bad shortly after purchase. The price is better than at the typical grocery store as well.
I am so tired of having to re-bag my deli items. The problem is your deli workers put the label right over the sliding opening so I have to cut that off and put mine in my own plastic bag because I can't get it out. Would you please tell them that I'm sick of it?
Decent quality smoked turkey breast. Only problem is how Walmart overcharges on all deli meats / cheeses / foods compared to most other grocery chains especially on their own products?? Prima Della is not better than any other luncheon meat so why charge more???
We have had two incidents now with not receiving the correct wgt ordered. We received .5 lb and ordered .75 lb. Also before this order, our sliced Turkey never made it to our order, showing otherwise. Can someone check what is happening at the Folsom, Ca deli for Walmart!
I'm guessing that they're just pulling presliced pkgs of deli products out of the case now, because I ordered a half lb(.50 of prima della low sodium turkey and only received .30lbs of sliced prima della low sodium turkey, if i wanted presliced, I would have ordered it. The delivery shoppers need to know the difference between the products they're shopping for, for example last time I ordered slicing tomatoes and got small puny Roma tomatoes instead.
I like the Prima Della Low Sodium Turkey Breast a lot, I just don't like it when it is sliced thick. It then becomes unappetizing. For a delivery, I had requested thin sliced, but it arrived thick sliced. I would not order it again. Even commercially pre-packaged deli meats are sliced thin. Thick sliced deli meats to me, as I stated, are unappetizing.
Don't even think about ordering this because the driver won't bother standing in line to get it for you and just tell you there was not attendant. It's happened to me too many times and then the driver usually says they can't speak English to understand you.
don't buy deli meat from walmart, it is not food safe if you do you should microwave it to 165° before eating it, we got sick and The Taste was horrible. if you have food delivered do not buy deli items because they are not kept refrigerated at kids spoil easily too much bacteria in their Deli meats
