I am always hesitant when ordering roast beef. But I found. Prima Della Turkey to be excellent so I gave their roast beef a try and no regret. The beef is fresh and sliced nicely. I would ask it to be even more rare, but that's just my taste. But it was rare. And not processed, 2 thumbs up
This last purchase of Prima Della Rare Roast Beef, Deli Sliced I picked up at Walmart is very good. I have purchased it 3 times so far. I usually do a pickup purchase from Walmart once or so a week. I had never purchased deli meats from Walmart before sliced to order. I give this Roast Beef 5 stars it is that good. The only thing I find missing when ordering this product online is a provision to choose what thickness I would like the meat sliced. I looked all over the Walmart Website page on my Desktop PC when ordering but there is no where to tell Walmart that I would like it thinly sliced. I wish they gave you that opportunity to be able to make a choice here. I would hope someone at Walmart reading this would address this for me to Walmart corporate.
A lot of times you order rare roast beef and you're lucky if its medium but usually well done. This was not the case with this prima della rare roast beef. On two separate orders it was just about perfect rare . I honestly gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because it wasnt the absolute best ive ever had ..it was very very very good , maybe second best ..ive had one or two better so i cant rate 5 ….lol…when in reality it is probably worth 5 stars by comparison to most. I really am just typing away to fill up a review i kept receiving requests to give … its good beef
I prefer ALL DELI MEATS to be sliced THIN. Just short of shaved. This allows me to use as much, or as little as I like. Health issues do not allow me to make store visits, and delivery/pickup does not have an option to choose "thinness". Yes, I wrote that as I would never order thick sliced.
Second time ordering. Second time it available. Called store ahead of time every few hours to verify and the phone was never answered. Horrible customer service and experience. Sam Walton is rolling over in his grave seeing this Walmart store and laziness and complete incompetence of the management staff.
This product could have been easily replaced for about maybe six dollars Hillshire Farms and buy the lunchmeat. It is about a $4 and some odd change. I didn't get any where near the list that I made when I was virtually shopping. I had 40 something odd items on my list , I only got 31 items and some of that was missing. I was forced to go along with the hold onmy card for $192 that they're gonna hold for 10 days.? My shopper told me that they don't like to make substitute , and that he was rushed out of the store by security he had to leave. Well, they sure like to take out a little over just in case so they won't take a loss . I feel they could make up estimate of how much it's gonna cost that fast. They should be able to estimate how much I spent in my return in the same manner in which they took the money. . I am on a fixed income and that might not be a lot of money to some people, but it's a lot of money to me and why do I have to wait 10 days? I am a senior citizen community and I'm shopping for food for years , I believe there is the reason why the estimated cost of $192 was calculated because they calculate everything I put on the list. There's a lot of things that I order for a fact, I know that I never seen on the list and he was already shopping in the store and he was beingrushed so I can't Barely get my messages everything was hard to replace, but they still got the money .. Last but not least , I was given the option to two things that was missing from from my list that I saw and I asked for store credit and I have to call the store now what is the option? It just seems like to me once they have the money and when you ask anything back, it just looks shady because I can count that and you know what I was given and it's nowhere near the amount that I was charged in this 10 day policy is outrageous.. I can do the math. Please excuse any misspelled words, but I amADA handicap and I work with voice TO text accessibility .
I bought it 3 days ago and it was red, cooked it for a beef dip recipe and then noticed neon green and pink areas on most pieces, which was concerning. I have never seen anything like it. I removed those pieces and tried it and it didn't have a good taste. Would have returned it, if I hadn't already cooked it.
Looks are very deceiving. Very processed product. Very salty. Sliced too thick. And very disappointing. Roast beef is not supposed to be that seasoned. And it's supposed to be juicy and tender. This was not - again - it was a very processed product. Subpar.
This was advertised as rare roast beef. It was very dry, practically tasteless, and I think that there was red dye injected into the meat to make it look rare, but it wasn't rare. It actually tasted like it was overcooked. I ended up making one sandwich out of it and throwing the rest away. What a waste of money. I ordered online and had it delivered, when I shop at the store I usually asked to taste a small piece before I complete an order.
Meet was gray, nowhere close to red. I assume deli employee used some other roast beef and slapped a rare price sticker on it. Meat was as dry as cotton. Took advantage of an online order to switch products. Will verify receipt of correct deli order before accepting in the future.
