Who doesn't love cheese? But there is a huge difference in quality cheese vs cheese product that contains less than 5% of actual cheese wrapped in plastic. Prima Della is mouth watering, worth the money, taste the difference kind of delicious! If you can't make it yourself from quality ingredients, buy it from someone who uses quality ingredients. You won't be disappointed!!
I try not to buy a deli food that is overly processed. The cheaper products at the counter are the worst. High sodium and other preservatives are used in the lower priced brands. A deli employee asked me what brand I was thinking of, and when I told her I didn't know, she recommended Prima Della. Thank you m'lady! This brand is really great because it's always fresh, aged, and perfectly flavorful. You'll find that the same problem exists in the self -serve cold cases. Most everything is over processed and over priced. Stick with the ladies at the deli counter. They know their stuff!
After reading a few negative reviews of this cheese, from a couple years ago, I was a little concerned about what it would taste like. But, those reviews are not my experience with the cheese. I'm eating it at room temperature and it's tasty, not the absolute best Swiss cheese I've had but, as this is from my local Walmart (Burbank California) I was less concerned about it being too old or too hard. Enough people in the area that it does sometimes go out of stock. It's deliciously tasty, and, I will definitely buy it again. While they didn't put paper between each slice, paper is on both ends and a couple more pieces, it's a firm enough cheese that the slices don't stick back together, even at room temperature (74 degrees). *Picture provided *
My guests raved about this sliced baby Swiss that I served on a cheese %26 meat tray; all asked from where they could purchase it. It is creamy and very tasty unlike some other bland Swiss cheeses.
Pretty good swiss. Fresh and sliced perfect thickness. Frizzle a few pieces of ham sandwich meat. Take swiss and make grilled cheese sandwich, when done, open the grill cheese and put the frizzled ham inside and a tbls of mayonnaise and slice. Yummy sandwich for lunch. My favorite quick lunch sandwich.
I buy this Swiss cheese all the time and it's great. I put it on my roast beef sandwiches and my Reuben sandwiches and the flavor totally hits. This cheese is tasty but not overpowering and it's perfect for whatever sandwiches you love.
I'm not sure what I received. These don't look like slices of Swiss cheese. There are no holes in it like this cheese is supposed to have. It actually looks like I got the ends of the cheese, like what was left of several loaves. I'm very disappointed in this.
While normally when I purchase the prima Della Swiss cheese, it is very good, on this purchase and a couple of occasions in the past, the cheese is dried out. I'm not sure if it is the way they are storing it or if there's a problem with the refrigeration at the time, but it does seem to be happening more frequently. Perhaps they can look into this.
I was unable to get to put slice thin anywhere on the app. I was also calling all departments and getting hung up on. telling me they were to busy to answer the phone call back later. I went through and made sure to put my choices of no substitute or pick substitution in. no where did I see any choice of how the deli should slice it. If there is a place please tell me. I have swiss cheese so thick its not able to be used. i am going to get a refund.
Driver brought 9 bags in at once. Bread Chips muffins rolls eggs paper towels crushed. Couldn't speak English. Dropped two jars of spaghetti sauce. Forcibly tried to close door that was latched open. When I said stop no couldn't understand what I was saying and continued. Bent the support arm. Horrible experience.
