Prima Donna® Maturo Aged Gouda Cheese Wedge, 5.3 oz

This cheese tastes good, however, it was pretty hard. I had to grate it. Too hard to cut into chunks and put on a cheese platter. Could be due to packaging. Allowed it to dry out.

This was my first time having this cheese and both myself and husband really enjoyed it. It was a tasy cheese and the rine pealed away easy enough. It was a harder cheese, especially closer to the rine, but still enjoyable. It held together well for cutting into cubes for a charcuterie board. I would purchase again.

This is a delicious Gouda from Holland. I definitely taste the Parmesan notes in it. I cut it up into cubes and put it on a charcuterie board. It works very well on its own but can pair well with plenty of other things. I recommend it for parties during the holidays.

Overall, I think the product is good. I liked the Parmesan/nutty flavor, and the texture was nice with a bit of creaminess. I actually eat alot of Gouda, and I did not feel that it was truly a "Gouda-style" cheese, and the outside seems to be just a bit waxy.

I knew the second I opened this cheese I was going to hate it. The smell is awful. The texture is bizarre and the taste is awful. Once I got the wrapper off, I thought maybe there was a second wrapper bc of the plastic look of the cheese. There wasn't. Cutting the cheese, no knife needed. Just break it and it crumbles. Eating the cheese? The hardest part. Put a piece in my mouth, one chew and had to spit it out. I hate it. The taste is so strong and not for me at all!
