these cords are extremely durable they work really well with our generator in fact we just used it the other night and it was super cold outside down to the 20s so it works very well I really like mine
Good quality, great price.
Perfect for my needs. A lot of yard needs to be covered to get to the bushes that need to be trimmed. I don't have to piece together 3 different extension cords any longer.
We have purchased this in the past and continue to do so. We just moved to another state and had to re-do all our outdoor lighting - this extension cord is super strong and does the job for us. Very pleased with this item
I bought two of these to run battery maintainers (which I also bought at Northern Tool) on our tractors. No use buying high dollar 10 or 12 gauge cords for such a task. Well worth the money for such tasks.
I can't rate it until this winter is over. However, it is sturdy and well made. I don't expect any difficulty except in keeping it! LOL This is replacing three that have recently disappeared.
I have a Whole House Generator that powers 90% of the electric outlets in my home. Needed this to connect my new Security System Panel to a powered outlet when bad weather makes our electricity go out.
I will find out in the Spring how good it is. It appears to be not as good as the one that I have for 20+ years. There seems to be a lot of play between the wires and the covering. My old one doesn't have that play. I am replacing the old one because of repairs that I made to the female end.
16 guage is really too small for a 100 ft. cord. 16 guage is smaller than 14 guage and 14 guage is the thickness of the wiring required for 120v residential wiring. Also, any tool you use that draws more than 10 amps will cause the cord to overheat and could damage the tool as well.
Within 5 minutes of using cord for first time, trimning hedges, cord made a pop noise and came apart 6:" from my hand. Not impressed. Would rather not die in my front yard! Many expletives deleted!!!
