I was hesitant to buy because of some reviews regarding the taste of the water but I decided to buy because my toddler would throw all the water from my old one because it wouldn't lock. I'm glad I did the plastic taste does go away after a few weeks and It works great the water is cold and the best thing it locks to keep my toddler from dispersing all the water.
i bought more than few water dispenser (same price range $125) in the past but this is the best so far!! easy to load 5 gallon water bottle, easy to dispense water, hot, cold, warm 3 different temp setting, looks great. (at Amazon or Target or Costco you pay more than $170 same exact product. Walmart is definitely the best!)
I love the design. I love the fact that you can use 3 or 5 gallon bottles with adjustable hose to pump the water up. I like that there is a sanitizing feature built in. I like the bottle temperature, even though I do not have a baby, I use it to drink warm lemon water in the morning.
This unit is awesome very cold very hot very easy to use with the electronic buttons.I hope that because it is so nice they don't stop making it. The price point is great for a unit that has a light and automatic sanitizing
I love this water cooler. It is the only one on the market, that I found, that you can lock all of the controls. Not just the hot water. My toddler figured out how to use the water but not when I lock the whole thing. :-)
I would NOT recommend this product, the water tastes like plastic even though I flushed the system with vinegar. my wonderful bottled water tastes WORSE than the tap water!!!!
This water dispenser is very frustrating!! You push the button and nothing happens. I understand the hot water button needs to be pushed at the same time as the dispensing button for safety. I can't get any of the buttons to work half the time. I will be returning for a refund!!
After carefully following guide and going through two 5 gallon bottles of water we are still unable to remove plastic-like taste. We bought this specifically for the bottle option but will not be using it to make a bottle for our newborn. We previously had another Primo model that never had issues until I set it out on back porch and it froze the water and broke. It did not have the self-cleaning/sanitizing so I think that is what is causing the a bad taste. Will be returning this new one.
Honestly this is not a great product. Something very important that should have been disclosed about this product in the description is that every 12 hours the warm water goes into sterilization process that lasts over two hours. It says 2 hours but it takes much longer when you add the cool down time. You cannot stop it. It says that you can manually start sterilization process, however when I tried, it just did it 3 times throughout the day. Basically useless for making baby bottles if you cannot use it throughout the day/night. You cannot get water out while it is going through the process. Not to mention the constant flashing red lights become really annoying!! Another really big issue is that the water tastes VERY strongly of plastic, even after cleaning everything and disposing a quart of water like the manual says to do and thinking it would go away eventually, it has not. Definitely not something I want to give my newborn!! The nightlight feature has to be manually shut off and is located behind the cooler. It really does not need to be on throughout the day but it is not easy to access and I couldn't imagine trying to do so in the dark every night. Lastly, the cold water is a joke and barely even cold. The cooler also is really loud when you are getting water out. For this price you would think it would work WAY better than this. Really disappointed. Who would have thought making sure my baby had clean/fresh water would have been so difficult. Better off getting a bottle warmer for way less money and effort.
I really wanted to like this machine but the one I got wasn't making the water cold. The compressor would run continuously and water would be colder left on room temperature. The instructions for cleaning and maintenance was very vague. Doesn't even explain how to take it apart to access the baffle in the paper instructions. Instead, the instructions directs you to Primo's website to view a general video and it's a different model. I contacted Primo but having to get on the phone and trying to reach them is a hassle. I tried all the trouble shooting from their videos and its not worth my time so I returned it before the deadline.
