Princeton Brush Select Artiste Brush, Spotter, 5/0

I make jewelry and teach jewelry making classes and I use these brushes for the flux. I have three jeweler's benches and have one brush at each bench. They hold up well as the flux can be very hard on everything. I like these brushes better than all of the others I have used and my students love them as well. They arrived quickly and were packed very well.

I paint a watercolor mandala every morning. This little brush feels so smooth and creates nice, clean lines. It holds paint and water really well. Washes easily and holds its shape.

I reach for 3 or 4 brushes and this is my favorite for small detail. Great price, holds a good deal for a small brush with a point that I trust.

This fan brush makes a really great tree. They look better than other trees.

I decided to try these brushes as a cheaper alternative to Princeton Velvetouch. I didn't expect much but honestly they're pretty good. They did not ship with plastic bristle protectors and one of them had a stray bristle, but it was easily corrected. They give a similar feel to the Velvetouch, allowing for accurate and controlled strokes. Bristles not too hard nor are they so soft that they collapse. Not quite as nice as Velvetouch but for the price they're very good and functional brushes! I'll have to see how they hold up over time but I may start using these as a budget alternative.
