I have been using these for the last year. I live in Arizona. It can get very hot here and i ride in some very rugged terrain. I use these on all four legs. They breath great, when i cross water it drains out great, sand doesn't get trapped under them. I love how my horse's legs are not hot when i take them off. Yes sweaty, but not hot. It also has a harder putter shell on its-which is great so not every sticker in the country sticks to it. So it protects from the rocks, and brush and I am not bringing home burns.
I always stayed away neoprene thinking it was going to be too hot, but these are perforated. He does not seem to sweat any more under them than the more traditional dressage boots. I also wanted something that could just be hosed off and would be dry the next day and it fits the bill. They cleaned up in the washer like new so now we'll see how long they last.
After dealing with a horse that had a popped splint, I never go without splint boots when I ride. I love these particular splint boots for so many reasons. To start, they are very breathable which is important to me as I have a horse with sensitive skin and prone to fungal infections. The breathability combined with the fact that they are waterproof is very comforting to me when riding this horse, knowing that if we encounter puddles on our trail rides I don't have to take the boots off right away. These boots are easy to take on the road as they are slim and lightweight. I have a 15.1 hh Morgan and use the Medium size and they fit perfectly! When cleaning, hose them off and wipe them with a towel and they are completely dry the next day.
I bought these to use as "work boots" shortly after my new horse,Donnie, arrived. I liked them so much I bought a 2nd pair. They fit nicely, & the added bonus is that they are so easy to clean. Just hose them off really well, then hang to dry off & they are ready for next day! My barn mates raved about how they looked & fit, Donnie, that several people bought them for their horses.
I bought a pair of mediums for my Haflinger filly's front legs to wear during training. The fit is really great. My trainer and I liked them so well I bought a pair in large for her hind legs. Those fit great as well. Appear to offer a lot of protection while being flexible. They look like they will hold up well.
Love these boots! They are great for schooling and are easy to clean. I also use a white pair for showing and they look so sharp! I hope they never get rid of this model b/c I absolutely love them!!!
These boots are flexible and fit my horse well. They run big. My horse is big boned but she could have done well with mediums. Very nice looking. My trainer said "these will be my next ones!"
I really liked the way these boots looked on the horse! They fit well and the large size fit my 17hh lean thoroughbred perfectly on both fronts and backs. The only problem I had with them was they made his legs sweat in turnout. I bought them for that purpose and had to return them because they weren't what I was looking for as far as breathability. I probably would have kept them if I didn't already own sixty other pairs of brushing/xc boots.
To long for a short cannon horse. Worked on back legs. Also even the small sizes of boots are to long.
I bought them a few month ago, I only used them at shows (so really a handful of times), took good care of them, the velcro is ripping already, super disappointed. I have the XC version which is been holding up great!
