Pro-Series 3/8 Inch VSR Electric Drill

I needed a smaller drill as I only have pneumatic drills and a half inch heavy duty drill. I bought this drill for the house and I am very pleased with it. It has 0-3000 rpm's and my heavy duty half inch drill only has an 850 rpm max. Plus, it's a light weight and sturdy drill for any household or automotive do it yourselfers. And the price is excellent for the value.

So far so good. First use, chuck feels stiff but worked ok. Had to retighten on bit once or twice. I really like the options available around the trigger. My old one had none.

The drill after 3 months of very little use became problematic when it would not reliably power up and the cord would have to be manipulated in order for it to switch on. I planned on returning it until I checked walmart.com and discovered that the time limit for me to do so had just expired. Today, after a little use the heavy restraining--reinforcing rubber fitting on the cord where it goes into the drill handle broke free and the 2 single wires pulled slightly out of the drill. I'm not an electrician but I do know that if I use the drill anymore there is a high risk that the live wires will pull completely out right below my hand and shock me with 110 volts.
