Heats great. The only issue for me is the pilot light button is hard to push and is very loud. We had purchased the same heater just smaller about 5 years ago it still works great .
I like the unit in particular because I have already many of these so that's one of the reasons I purchased it. however, I deliberately overrated it. my room is 144 square feet and this will do a lot more than 144 so it does a very good job and I love the thermostat. thank you have a great day
After comparing prices I was happy to find this heater unit on or about Black Friday. Good pricing, exactly as described. Very happy with this purchase.
very easy to assemble no troubles .The screws and instructions where kinda hidden inside stove . Very easy to use
Nice looking heater and it put out very good amount of heat. Unfortunately mine was defective it had a delayed ignition and had a propane gas smell to it because of that. I verified that there was not leaks with a gas sniffer and my pressure was correct. I had a reading of 11.4 WC so it was in tolerance. I went ahead and returned it to Walmart and ordered the DynaGlo 20000 BTU and was disappointed in it also. It didn't have the delayed puff ignition but it didn't put out the heat this one did. On the lower setting the Procom runs 15000 BTUs and the DynaGlo runs 16000 BTUs and there is a big difference in the positive heat the Procom put out on lower BTUs. One thing to note is that blueflames aren't as forgiving as infared heaters with containments in the air. Meaning dust, pets and cleaning supplies can change the flame tips very easy to orange and start to smell. Not giving up on Procom I ordered the 25000 BTU thermostatic infared and it's insane on the heat. Basically like opening a oven. Probably would never go back to blueflame again. I'm very happy with my new Procom (infared heater) and it has no smell or delayed ignition unlike this one.
Would have loved to be able to use it, but they did not inform you before buying that you have to use 100 lb propane tank or larger, and you have to have it professionally installed. I was thinking this was portable, but it is not. Had to return, couldn't use it.
this item does not tell you, you have to buy all kinds of parts inbetween the heater and propane tank. i was expecting to connect and light. instructions are the worst instructions iv ever seen. its made so you have to have someone with this kind of experience connect it for you. if its a propane heater, you expect to get all necessary parts to put together and light. now i have to go to walmart and find and buy all necessary parts for it to work... another $50 - $100.
This is the most complete gross and negligent representation of a product that I have ever seen. This vendor needs to be flagged immediately based on the lack of information and fraudulent reviews that it is a great product with no mention that it needs to be professionally installed by a certified technician and requires additional parts and service that could cost an additional $1000 plus dollars. There is no indication for a consumer to know it requires all of this extra expense!! I am not happy with the feeling that I have been taken advantage of by a misleading advertisement. Furthermore I usually go to pictures or reviews to find any issues and nothing is available. I have a hard time believing I am the only one this has happened to at this point. I don't just want a refund I want justice for umaware consumers like me. Please contact me with a Solution ASAP to get this resolved because I am not waiting an hour to speak to a manager, I want corporate now!?
Nothing came with this heater to hook it up and after we bought the corrwct items, it still does not work. The pilot light will not stay lit at all. This has ended up being at $300 nightmare, right at Christmas time.
