My previous slow cooker was larger (maybe 7 quarts?), so the ceramic crock insert was quite a bit heavier than this one. Because it was so bulky, I had difficulty washing it by hand (I'm just not a fan of putting it in the dishwasher). I find it much easier to hand wash this smaller, lighter-weight crock. That reason alone makes it more convenient for me to use. Also, some of the other brands in this price range didn't include the "keep warm" feature. Even though I don't use it very often, I like knowing that I have that option.
Only had this cooker for one month so can't speak to durability. Have used it twice and it worked as it should. Good size for two people.
Compared to the black Crock-Pot that I just tossed out, this cooker is great. It has better temp controls, warms up faster, and the color makes it easier to clean.
Does what you would expect from a slow cooker, pretty simple. Could use with a much longer cord. 10 inches or so is limiting. And a light to let you know it's on would be nice too. Used it twice so far and works just fine.
I needed a slow cooker that had a dial (versus buttons) so that I could use it with a timer. This works perfectly! And, it's small enough that it holds just the right amount for 2 people (with maybe a little left over).
Good quality slow cooker, did the job and easy to clean. Negatives: could be cheaper, no light to show it is on Additional comment: lid doesn't lock so not a good choice if you will bring food to others and outside does get warm when cooking which isn't a problem but some people are surprised by this fact. Buy again? Probably would wait for a sale and save $3-4
I was concerned after reading other comments but for the price I decided to try it. I am very happy with the product now. It does NOT get as hot as my older CrockPot model but that is a good thing for me because the CrockPot always seemed to be TOO hot. And, I like the "Warm" setting. All in all this does a great job. I love the ability to take out the liner for cleaning. One note - the instructions state NOT to use this for storing food on the Fridge. I also allow it to cool down a little before washing as I believe the switch from very hot to much cooler may cause a tendency to crack the ceramic (?) liner. I would definitely buy this again.
Since I received slow cooker in mail the box looked it had been opened at one time. It was suppose to have a elastic band to go across two handles for transportation but no band was in the box. I like the size of pot since there is just the two of us.
Be aware that the slow cooker is described as a 4 quart OVAL on their website when in actually it is a 4 quart Round. However it is nice looking in the black color. Haven't used it yet in fact i'm thinking of returning it. As i said looks like a nice slow cooker but i was wanting to purchase an oval shaped cooker.
This slow cooker did not last very long. The heating element is already malfunctioning after less than 5 months of use. It no longer is able to get food hot enough to thoroughly cook it. Too late to return it, so off it goes into the garbage can. I liked the size and the shape, but I will never get this style again. I had to special order this. From now on, I will just get whatever is available at the store. There must've been a reason it was not available at my local store.
