Proctor Silex Sound Shield Coffee Grinder, Sound Shield Technology, Grinds for Brewing 12 Cups, 80402. I guess the sound guard does make it a little quieter but that doesn't matter to me. Be aware that you can't operate it without the lid locked in place and then the sound guard on top of that. So you have the unit that houses the motor, the grinding bowl, the lid and the sound guard - a lot of pieces to keep track of and keep clean. Yes, there is a place to store the cord in the bottom but it involves a little fussing to get it securely stored. If you carelessly tilt or turn the whole unit over, the sound guard can fall off because it does not lock in place. It's a good thing you can remove the grinding bowl because the overall size of the unit would make it a little awkward to pick it up and dump the coffee into the coffeemaker. But once the grinding bowl is removed, it means there's another space below the bowl that has to be kept clean. As in many other grinders, the coffee does not pour well out of the bowl and has to be spooned or scooped or scraped out of the bottom of the bowl. It seems to depend on the shape of the bowl and the design of the blades and maybe how fine your grind. I was spoiled by my old grinder that was so well designed and that finally died. The whole unit is about twice the size of most small, simple grinders. It's nice-looking so if you have plenty of space, you might be ok with that. Don't forget that the cord is pretty short, less than 2.5 feet I think. All things considered, I'd rather have a smaller, simpler unit.
I never received this item. Walmart has fantastic customer service though. when I didn't receive the item, I emailed the customer service (first the third party to find out about the item, as it was a sale item that from Black Friday). I got no response for a long time. When I finally got one, they said I had to talk to Walmart. (the trouble had been that it had a shipping label, said it shipped, but it must've never been packed or never made it out the door--lost). Anyways, the sale was over by this point, so I couldn't order another, so I talked to Walmart's customer service chat, they immediately gave me a refund (super nice and helpful). I never go the grinder through, oh well. It still says it's shipped/shipping, and refunded. I will be hesitant to order 3rd party through Walmart's site though, but it's good to know Walmart will help you if there's a problem.
IT WAS EASY TO OPERATE.......BUT AFTER 3 TIMES USING IT.......THE MECHANISM LOCKED UP. COULD NOT EVEN GRIND THE BEANS..........POOR QUALITY. I AM RETURNING THIS ITEM FOR A REFUND. ONLY HAD IT LESS THAN A MONTH. CANNOT SEND PICS....DO NOT OWN A SMARTPHONE, OTHERWISE I WOULD. SORRY
