Why can't I just plug in and run? I had to register it then call which took an hour for them to sync it only for it to turn off after 7 seconds! To much AI for just a treadmil!
I was so excited to get this treadmill. I'm very disappointed that I can't use it because the release lever that moves the bar with the console on it doesn't work. I tried looking up online and nothing could be found on fixing th City L6 treadmill. Not even on Proform's website. Now I have to pack the heavy treadmill back up and return it. What a waste of time and money. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
I like the treadmill, but wasn't thrilled with the leisurely shipping of it after the purchase, how FedEx gave the package a two day vacation in one city before continuing its journey to me, and how much damage there was to the package during shipping. There were a number of holes punched into the box and one end was unsealed. Fortunately, the item is operable.
I'm quite disappointed with the quality. It's been only 30 days since I purchased it, and the motor is already making concerning noises, kind of like a jet engine is about to take off. It makes me question its durability. Considering ProForm's reputation, I had expected better from them. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I reached out to their customer support, hoping for some assistance. However, I was met with disappointment. Instead of genuinely addressing my concerns, they seemed more interested in asking generic questions and did not offer any real help. It's disheartening that they would prefer I simply return the item to Walmart rather than helping me fix the treadmill.
This is a very nice, basic workhorse treadmill for people who are not crazy competitive runners. The speed goes up to 8 mph but I haven't actually used it above 4 1/2 mph; one of the best things about this treadmill is that it requires basically no assembly. If you've ever had a treadmill, then you know what a huge hassle putting together a treadmill can be. Another benefit is the small footprint, this treadmill can literally sit in the corner of your room and that's a big deal. It's also easy to adjust the belt on the treadmill, plus the belt does not seem to require any lubrication, ever. If you don't want to use iFit, you can either make the free account and then skip the part that asks you to pay for a membership (after unlocking your treadmill) or you can simply set up your treadmill, remembering to put the red key on the magnetic spot on the treadmill, then simply hold down the iFit button for 20 seconds or so and that should unlock the machine and get you around needing an account. I will say that this treadmill is probably not the sturdiest treadmill in the universe, but it is decently quiet, you can't really hear it in the room over. There is some creaking and squeaking during walking and running, but this treadmill as a fraction of the cost of more expensive treadmills and at least for me, this was to be expected.
I just received my PRO-FORM City L6 today, when trying to set it up, the foot lever barely worked to release the console arms to go up, then when I wanted to fold the console down, it WILL NOT RELEASE to fold down. My purpose of getting this particular treadmill was the Easy Fold and Store option, I'm a senior citizen woman and now I can't even move it like this and it's stuck where it's at, very inconvenient and I'm very frustrated and disappointed.
NOTE the width of the belt and size/length of this treadmill along with weight capacity, this IS for a petite person. I love it, being 5'0" this works perfect for me.
Just un-boxed to find out I have to go online to activate! I do so to find out I MUST choose between a one time payment of $400 a year or $40 a month, true story! So, I cannot operate the treadmill without "activating" and you cannot speak to anyone. Stop! Sam's Club, drop this supplier, this is corporate stupidity at its highest level and should not be imposed on a Sam's Club member. RETURNED
perfect in my corner, loving my treadmill ty
This treadmill was shipped to me from proform and the belt was off track. It was difficult to fix and eventually the belt got stuck. I could not return the treadmill, they sent out a technician who after 5 hours was able to repair it; mind you it took 5 weeks to set up the appointment. The treadmill works BUT, it is loud and the belt is raggedy. If I pick up speed the belt gets jammed.
