This is pretty much just noodles and chick peas, but it's delicious. The broth is very tasty. Not sure why the price keeps going up though, kind of unnecessary- it's definitely cheaper to make this than the kind with meat, or any other soup, for that matter. Progreso was only $1.67 a can several years back. What happened? Greed? Price gouging? Tariffs??
This tasty soup is very hearty and filling. It has a great flavor to it and is perfect for lunch or dinner. Although it's not vegan, it is vegetarian and has a lot of protein.
Tastes like a creamy chicken noodle soup but better. I don't write reviews especially for food but this one surprised me.
Hearty and filling. My new favorite soup. I put a little evoo on top after heated.
Silky smooth broth and one of Progresso's best vegetarian soups. Delicious with parmesan cheese!
i TRIED IT, AND I LIKED IT, GOOD TASTING SOUP.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally after months of searching I finally tried Progresso soup Chickpea and Noodle which has 17g of protein. Super easy can to open and no water needed. Taste is good and defenitely keeped me full after having the soup for dinner. Recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.
I have had it before and it was okay but in my last can the chickpeas tasted like dirt. I couldn't finish it.
I don't eat chickpeas but my husband does so I thought he might like this soup. He hates it so I'm just giving his opinion. Said it had an aftertaste he doesn't care for. So if you like chickpeas I'm still not sure if you're going to like this or not. It's the most honest review I can give you
I thought I'd try a "vegetarian" soup and I like chickpeas, but this is a HARD NO!! Never again. The chickpeas were hard, not at all tender. VERY disappointed!
