I love this specific product (Progresso lite low sodium chicken pot pie). I try to keep it on hand due stomach issues that don't allow me to eat most foods. However, it is appears to be a very popular item and Walmart appears to not keep enough of this specific soup in stock. It is always out of stock (I.e., sale out fast) at the Walmart stores in Slidell. It would be nice if Walmart ordered/stocked its shelves with more of this specific soup to meat the apparent supply and demand in this area

Great poured over a pot pie.

TheEater May 1, 2026

I pour this over a Marie Calendar's pot pie, in a bowl, so that all of the dough is edible, this solver the dry pot pie problem!

Soup is good food (wrong brand but its true)

MeM January 5, 2026

Like the options of the "light" %26" lower sodium" Progresso soups. I would like it more if they cut back on the sodium more but realize they would have people complaining about taste. Easy to add more fiber with shredded cabbage, chopped carrots, spinach or fresh, or frozen veggies. I like to add bit of lemon juice to make it yummy, savory, tangy.

I have an issue with salt intake and while it came up under low sodium soup it still had saltiness to it. For someone who doesn't have the extreme issues with salt intake that I do, it is a good substitute for the regular soups.

Sodium Enhanced Soup

HoneyBadger777 December 30, 2023

Just one more SODIUM BOMB [LOTS OF SODIUM] with less calories, less flavor. Not my best purchase, who to give it to or just dump it down the drain to allow the heavy sodium content to dissipate?!?

Underwhelmed

anonymous November 3, 2025

I thought I got a great deal when I saw these were 73 cents because they are usually way more than that. Unfortunately this product didn't live up to my expectations. It taste fine, it simply lacked in depth. I can't honestly recommend these if you are paying regular price. This soup should be sold for no more than 50 cents. Do not pay more than a dollar for this soup. You can find other Great Value soups that are better than this one. Or if you are actually in the mood for chicken pot pie, then buy an individual one as this product misses the mark.

Mostly broth

Rita March 17, 2026

The flavor was great. It just didn't have enough substance to it. It was mostly broth. I didn't get very much chicken or anything. I was very surprised it's not cheap.

Damaged

Jacquelin December 29, 2023

The soup can is severely bent. As a whole, I avoid damaged cans because air may be entering the can and spoiling the content.

LORRIE September 1, 2025

If you want a soup that is not loaded with veggies or chicken and want basically a gravy, this soup is for you. Not the worst thing I've ever eaten, but I will NOT buy it again. I wish I took a picture before I tossed it in the trash.
