This is a great base, with ample veggies, but just needs a little extra seasoning and spice to bring it up a notch. The price of these soups has gone up like everything else, but I find that I can stretch this soup by adding crusty French bread as a side. For the calories, it's well worth the cost.
This is the time of year when you're extra busy and for a hot filling meal then Progresso is a great choice. They offer a wide variety and your sure to find a favorite.
One of my favorite soups, but Walmart seems to always be out of it..
Great flavor. Lower salt content. Good for serving with crackers or to dip toasted sandwiches in. Not too much spice. Filling but not too hearty.
Great product, great price!
great for lunch and low in sodium and great with crackers
My favorite but you do not always have this soup
Love soup on a cold day .or just something to heat and eat when your tired. And its low calorie and its got great taste.
These low calorie soups were not very tasty at all. I purchased 16 cans of various flavors and the 3 cans we consumed were very disappointing. I was expecting them to be as good as the original soups. I would not recommend them.
This soup was a major disappointment! Hardly any barley %26 scant other ingredients. The taste had a metal aftertaste. I tend to only buy Progresso canned soups. I've been switching to the lower calorie (lite) soups. The lite pot roast soup is VERY GOOD %26 only 70 calories per servings, 150 calories for the whole can. This ‘barley' soup has only 130 calories per can. But, there's a big drop off from 150 to 130 calories. (The barley soup also “CONTAINS BIOENGINEERED FOOD PRODUCTS.”). Wish I knew that before ordering. I Do NOT recommend the lite barley soup!
